Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere, I did a little searching but didn't find anything. On US cars, are the lasers really only for high beams? I live in a large city and never use high beams. So, I was wondering if it's even worth getting besides the DRL and other aesthetic improvements. They do look better!

Here's an old video of how they would work outside the USA. Hope this gets approved here soon.

Very informative video. Maybe NHTSA will get off the a$$es and approve them.

I'll plug in my laptop next week and take a look at what I can see and then what minor things can be changed. However, enabling anti-dazzle is beyond my skill set. I guess what i'm trying to say is don't keep hopes up that: 1) This will definitely be available by coding and; 2) That this will be figured out any time soon. Given the lack of discussion on G05 coding on other forums, it's going to be 6-12 months i predict at the earliest until we see a decent amount of coding options available.

I think that proper coding can really open up quite a few possibilities for the G05, even beyond the anti-dazzle and laser light performance, so
I am patiently waiting for those things to come available and make our vehicles even better!! |

Well... Just got the official word from the dealer via their PUMA case... BMW says they have disabled the cornering lights on all North American X5s and the dealer said they have no way of coding them to turn on. Disappointing... yeah they look great but between the cornering lights decoding and the anti dazzle decoding, they pretty much lose much of their value.

For those of us that ordered and paid for Laser Lights, I think we've been hoodwinked and ripped off. What do you say?
