But on the other side the company continually shoots itself in the foot by refusing to use any of the 100+ years of accumulated knowledge about how to build a car properly. I still want an electric car, but I don't want a Tesla any more (I have a reservation for a Taycan, and I would imagine a lot of Model S owners will gravitate to the Porsche).

2014 Dodge Durango Citadel Hemi
The Durango was a great truck (actually has a couple features that the x5 doesn't) , but I don't need the 3rd row/added size anymore and I wanted a nicer ride |

2016 Ford Explorer Sport. It was a great vehicle considering what it was loaded with for the money. I had a 2013 Explorer Sport prior to that and was one the first to order and the 2013 engine wise outperformed the 2016.
I just turned my lease in Monday evening and now driving a 2003 Ford Explorer my husband bought for one of his employees. It's been interesting to go from all technology to almost none. I told my husband don't be surprised if I back into something or the damn thing gets stolen because I leave the keys in the ignition or on the car seat because I've been so used to auto start and keyless everything. |

Maybe it was the lawn mower engine or horrible software issues?

I didn't have any software (other than slow on start up) or mechanical issues with this XC90, and mine was a very early build - Aug 2015 delivery. In comparison, my G05 has 2,000kms on it and has been parked for the last week due to the steering issues in cold weather. Add that to the cornering lights which don't work and questionable auto braking assit, I'd say the G05 is adding up to be a much more problematic vehicle... and don't even get me started on BMW's flat out neglect with spare tire and auto start features/options which are altogether missing on the Canadian G05's |

I used to spend a lot of time in the mountains and back country in a 2010 LR4 and that thing never disappointed. It was a true luxury off-road vehicle at a price in which you weren't afraid to actually put it through the ringer every once in a while. |

I got very unlucky with my XC90 (2017 T8). Tons of issues, including multiple failures of the air suspension, and it died completely in the middle of a busy street at one point. But when it was working, it was a great vehicle, with far better interior packaging compared to the X5. The engine is definitely not as refined, and there was a bit more road and wind noise than I would have liked, but Volvo really nailed the overall design and packaging of the vehicle.

2016 340xi M sport. Never was able to love that car. Fantastic motor but poor transmission gearing, incredible amount of understear, a technological fossil, and it just felt cheap. Previously I had two different E70s, and it feels so good to be back in a luxury SUV again.

2010 535iGT. Big and comfortable, good ride, first class legroom in the back seat. Surprisingly small trunk area for a hatch back style. Some think it's an ugly duck, but I think it looks great. Bought it off the lot in 2011 so got an okay deal, but low on options.
Not this time. |
