A better question is when the hell is BMW going to actually give us a premium configurator with premium 3D renderings etc?

What they have now is pathetic.

the dealer has a configurator so an order can be placed if one wanted to. I have one an order but it will be cancelled once a built date is assigned since i want some equipment that comes in december.

BMW US always seems to lag behind in getting their configurators up

Very good question. I plan to order one because of live pictures I’ve seen, but if all I had to look at was the configurator pics, I’d pass.

BMW just gave dealers a sweet 3D configurator. Not sure why consumers dont get it.

Porsche used to have a great 3D configurator but it was based on the Unity player which is no longer supported. Now theirs is just as bad.

You would think that a super premium configurator would be a huge part of their sales platform given the digital age we live in.

agreed about porsche.... and combined with the 1,183 options porsche offers, it makes building one online quite difficult!

Bmw’s US website is pathetic. F15 configurator doesn’t even work right for over a year. It’s like they let the interns handle it.

Odd. They appear to have removed the G05 configurator on the UK site. The link no longer works.

I e-mailed the BMW Genius. Yes... that's what they call them selves if you do the contact us on the website. Sends and e-mail to bmwgenius@bmwusa.com . Hard to say that with a straight face. Anyways.. they said, "At this time, we do not have an estimated release date to provide reagrding the Build Your Own tool on www.bmwusa.com for the all-new BMW X5. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause."

Considering my local dealer has 39 2018's on the lot, I don't think they want people looking at 2019's online until more of those are sold.

I see the style 747 isn't on the US order guide...sucks, they are much better looking than the 22" Style 742 option on the US spec M sport, maybe the 747 will be an option when the US gets the M50i. The G05 needs 22's to look proportional and M Sport or M Performance is a must.

Crap in the UK as well now.....like they've let a 3 year old create it.

It takes ages to load anything, and you can select all of the colours, as when you try and scroll down the colours to the ones not shown, it jumps back up again so you can't select any colour 'off' the non-visible list - its a joke.

BMW used to have a really good configurator - its now frankly useless.

Its as if they don't actually want you to order a car
