B&W is delayed until 12/18 SOP.
21-22" wheels are available. Majority of Priority 1-Individual is SOP April 2019, that's almost 9 months away! At least when the F95/F95 launchs individual will be available. The P1 delay probably coincides with the G07 launch. Significant options are delayed/not available at market intro, glad my F85 has another 28 months.

Well this is unfortunate news. Looks like I will be waiting for the second or third round of X5 to hit the ground.

CCA Rebate
Hello all, First post and wanted thoughts on taking advantage of the CCA rebate on the new X5. Is this doable even for a car that hasn't hit the showroom yet? Thanks in advance.

Appreciate the help! For those who've used this before, I assume it comes in the form of a rebate after purchase? So it's just as easy as joining the club I suppose?

Very smart, especially since the X5 M50i (revamped V8 engine that was introduced on the M850i) will be available late 2019. Always best for a new 3 year lease during the last MY prior to EOP, as it will take BMW that much time to role out the entire new model. G05 50i has the older V8 (N63TU2) until 2019.

Correct, the check will come in the mail directly from BMW NA. Takes about 4-6 weeks after submission, but CCA takes about 1 week to acknowledge receipt of rebate application via e-mail.

I leased a 540i and got the car rebate and fleet combined. I’m in Canada! The CCA rebate is 2% of msrp and is takenoff ontop of whatever you negotiate.

I was going to be one of the first orders in the books, but the lack of DHP caused me to push out my decision until June/July 2019 when the 2020 order guides come out. DHP is the single best option on an X5 IMO. It's expensive, but it keeps the car flat when cornering, makes it handle like a sports sedan, and is a much smoother ride overall around town. If they don't offer DHP on the 40i next year then I may look elsewhere. So frustrating and such a strange decision. It doesn't cost BMW anything more to offer it on the 40i as well as the 50i. It just doesn't make any sense at all to me. From a Gross Profit Dollar perspective, getting even one customer to order that option on a 40i is a win for BMW since the product has already been developed, and is available for sale on the 50i. Truly bizarre. People may suggest to just buy the 50i, or the M50i next year, if DHP is that important. But those engines are severe overkill for me having had the 50i with m-performance pack on an e70 model several years ago. Plus, the gas mileage is significantly worse, the range is lower, the cost is +$10,000, and the car is much louder (some people like that, but our family does not). Come on BMW, if you're reading this, give buyers the option to add DHP on the 40i. There really is no apparent reason not to offer it. Sorry for rant. |

Just wondering if maybe BMW has revamped the suspension on the new X5 significantly...and the DHP will be less of a change? The M-Sport comes with the M Adaptive Suspension standard (I know it’s different than DHP in the past). There have been zero test drives of the new X5 that I’m aware of...so maybe it rides much better now? Wife has a 2016 528i Luxury Line now with standard suspension (which she likes), so I know the M-Sport we ordered will be a huge step up in terms of ride and feel.
