OK, I’ve been quiet on this one, but I am going to weigh in too. I will caveat by saying that Dravit Grey is a brilliant color, and these choices are super personal, so go with your own instinct.
A little history: I just ordered my fifth BMW with the first one being way back in 1999. The previous four colors have been: Topaz Blue, Monaco Blue, Space Grey, and Donington Gray. I guess I have a thing for blues / grays, and I had narrowed this new order down to Carbon Black, Dravit, and Tanzanite Blue. I was actually leaning toward Carbon Black, but then I found a dealer that had all three colors on the lot. I ended up going with Tanzanite, and I think I will be very happy with it. My take on Dravit was that it looked great in shade, but I didn’t love how amber it got in the sun. I could see it on a smaller vehicle, but it felt “yellowy” for my taste on a large SAV. Finally, I love what I have seem so far of Grigio Telesto....somewhat industrial but with some brilliance in the sun. That said, I can’t see dropping an extra $5K for a shade of grey. Again though, these choices are super personal, so hard to really go wrong. |

Me too Arctic Grey is just too dark and makes the car incredibly hot I have to set my AC 3 degrees cooler than my older Alpine white F15. I would have liked to have had a Glacier Blue G05 like I had on my 1991 E30 Really loved that colour and was ideal for hot climates

Another grey? How about another color, as in not black/grey/silver/white?
Depending on X5 model, there's green, brown, amatrin (call it burgundy) and two blues, with one of those a very expensive option. BMW has plenty of colors across the lineup, so why so few choices of the very popular X5? |

Call the 800 number, and it should give you the latest date. Online status won’t change until it physically is getting built.

I honestly didn't really care for Dravit until I saw this.... Hmmm to change or not to change... I really wish I could find a direct comparison between Dravit and AG, side to side. |
