Feel like a boat when brake
Got a new 2024 X5 xDrive 40i and put about 200 miles on it. It's wonderful car.
However, not sure if it is normal and I am not used to the bigger car (used to own Mazda CX5, which is way smaller and lighter). Or is there something wrong with the car. Basically, when I apply brake, the car stops well and brake is immediate. However, at the stop, the car would move a little forward and backward, making me feel like riding on a boat or a very soft suspension. I know there might be inertia or something. But I don't experience this in my cx5 before, at least not often. Anyone experience the same? Normal? Break in? |

1) maybe you’re just braking hard if the vehicle is jolting upon full stop. difficult to say for sure, though. i did not experience this during break-in nor after, so it could just be a style thing. it is a different vehicle and much heavier than your CX5
2) does the brake pedal feel spongy or squishy? maybe air in the brake line maybe post a video? |
