She's finally home. I know some haven't been able to see the Cognac Sensafin in person, so included are some pics that accurately reflect what they look like.

Congrats on taking delivery.. that is very sharp looking but I'm biased since mine looks nearly identical! Are your front two windows tinted? If so, what tint % ?

Nice! We unfortunately don't have an endless configuration choices with the G05, but thought this worked well.

Yes, I asked for 20% tint. Not sure what it actually ended up being. Just asked them to match the rears as much as possible, but it's still a touch lighter.

Very nice build! Man this leather quality and attention to detail really pops in your photos and in that color.

Puts Tesla to shame.

I really like how the PPF brings out the blues in the paint. I've been debating on getting ceramic or PPF and every time I am leaning a certain direction, I see posts like this that make me swing back. Your X5 looks fantastic.

Appreciate it! The lights at the PPF place certainly made the blue pop.

Later this week I'll seal it with Menzerna Power Lock.

Nice to see one with a trailer hitch. Unavailability of the hitch at the end of the 2022 model year is what pushed me into a 2023 (which I'm still waiting for ).

Out with the family and parked far away. Someone clearly had a good time smashing their door into the X5. At 598 miles, it's painful to see.

This was 100% done on purpose. I picked a spot no one would need to park next to. It wasn't a great part of town so likely didn't help my situation. I can either leave it or PDR it. We'll see how much it bothers me. Since it's on the driver's side door, it's all I see now.

That’s just awful P1. Like mad villain said, some people have no respect. We use my F36 instead of the new X6 for the mundane Costco and grocery runs to hold off the inevitable door dings.

Ugh - these are the most infuriating kind of dings. I've got the same one, right by the crease, because some yoho mom at my son's day care let her 4 year old climb into the car by himself and he swing the door wide open right into my car. I basically watched it happen as I was walking out and it took everything in me not to throw a child

Couldn't agree more. In addition, I also discovered a stone chip w/ paint missing on my Shadowline trim. Must have been from a truck kicking up rocks when I was driving through the countryside recently.

Ironic, isn't it? I drive my F15 for 100,000 miles without a single ding. I spend money doing PPF on the G05 and within a few weeks, have a door ding and a good-sized paint chip.

I suppose she's broken in at this point!

Hey P1, curious if you tried to have that door ding repaired?

I haven't gone down to the PDR place yet, no. Almost don't want to get it fixed knowing some loser will just dent it again out of spite. But it bothers me a lot since it's on the driver's side door and I see it all the time.

For me, I would get it fixed. Like you said, seeing it all the time would just be too aggravating. On a previous car, we took a massive, full force door ding, as if someone kicked their door into ours. We ended up going the insurance route and had it repaired/repainted at a body shop. Rather pay the deductible then stare at the damage every day.

You're right. I have a great PDR guy. Just need to make time to go see him.

Thank you for sharing the pictures. We have almost the same spec on order. Are those seats the M sport seats or comfort? We ended up going with comfort as my wife didn't like the idea of a tighter seat. We are not going to be running any hot laps anytime soon.
