Looks like X3 honestly, at this point I dont see any difference btw X3 and X5 design. Even more - why overpay for X5 when X3 M40i would serve all your needs? Needs bigger go to X7 anyways for more space and luzury featires.

X5 seems to be in awkward spot

In my opinion the look is way outdated. Some are not liking the LCI x7 buy I find it to be beautiful.

Would it kill them to just make non M Sport models with blacked out trim? For the small fraction of population that actually cares for chrome trim, they can pay extra for a “chrome package”. SMH.

The X5 is BMW’s #1 volume selling car. They are smart enough to keep the LCI fairly conservative and not mess up a formula that clearly works well. This LCI looks great so far in these pics. Add m sport package and some 22 inch wheels, and you’ll have a great looking suv with a fresh look for the next few years.

Doesn't look bad but looks more mainstream, less character.

Why do these leaks always look like someone printed out a photo of the car and then took a picture of it with a one megapixel camera? Can we get some HD leaks for once?

X5 is one of the best selling vehicles in BMW portfolio.

It would be unwise to create a new design which is a far departure.

Looking forward to the production launch.

You may be correct in the X3 and X5 being somewhat close design wise, but....

I test drove X3, X5, and X7 back to back to back, all were fully loaded.

There is a large step up in luxury from X3 to X5. This is most apparent in the seats, materials(leather), and most importantly ride(handling road imperfections, smoothness, etc).

The step up in luxury from X5 to X7 is also there, but it's more subtle.

Well worth the extra cost if those things are of value to you.

100%— this is putting profits over what majority of customers would love from BMW.

I would prefer not to pay $4k and upwards for M sport package if I could just get OEM blacked out trim. For heavens sake, even Tesla is doing that now on all models due to overwhelming customer feedback.

They obviously want you to pay for it. White looks better with the chrome anyway. With the wife's car white and chrome is no extra charge which is a plus.

Looks like the X3 front end only slightly larger. Nice.
Then I thought the LCI look like the second pic …which is also nice
