IMO thank goodness no split headlights. Why give up on something that has represented the brand nearly forever? Keep the halo non-split IMO.

The M sport will have lateral slats in the kidneys like the XM for those waiting to see it. Should look good!

the rear lights look awkwardly larger on the vehicle. slimmer would have made it sleek. front smile is similar to the new x3 as well, not a fan.

There are so many ways they could have gone that would have improved on the pre-LCI for the LCI. It's not one of the worst, but I prefer the pre-LCI massively. Front is okay but seems vertically squished to the point it looks like a cross-over's front stuck on a full-size SUV. The concept of the rear lights is good but they are comically large and not proportionate to the rest of the rear.
I guess good job creating a design that will make it easier to sell a newer generation a few years down the line.

I think the front and rear updates are both improvements. The pre-LCI rear tailights look a bit dated to me. Looking forward to seeing the M-performance trim.

Very unlikely that will be the case.

Yes, we will see in a few weeks. It wouldn't make sense from product positioning point of view to do that. Maybe, and that is a big maybe, on the X5M but not on an MSport 40i or 45e.

I think the Halo sword on the X3’s look great! (My youngest son (13) and I play Halo together occasionally and that’s the first thing we both said when we saw the lights) 😆

They got lazy with the tial lights I feel.. Just reshaped the light elements and trim contrasts, no real difference in physical design.. I do like new front.. Cleaner, chiseled.. Less random alu look plastic. Cool wheels too.. Should feel and drive like a smaller, lighter X7 LCi (essentially what it is..)

I bet though there won’t be parts shortages on this LCI of new options pop up. I’m hopeful; but it’s still dicey times. |

After E70, the X5s all look kinda buss-ish and not that interesting. Its hard to understand what they can really do with the platform in terms of looks, it is all too much sheetmetal, and tiny eyes and big grilles and big tail lights... And any dynamic look to it is long gone, it is just a people carrier with a big badge. So discussing how this car looks is interesting but we all know that it isnt that important anymore in line of what BMW produces.
Makes the XM interesting, I got to say and I cant stand that thing with its tacky gold trim...
