After being away from BMW since 2010 (a 2008 e93 convertible -- worst car I ever owned), I just brought home a new 45e to replace my beloved 2018 Jaguar F-Pace, which got rear ended.

I needed a car immediately, so couldn't wait to order to spec, and my local choices consisted of a white one, a black one, and a Manhattan Green one with M package and extended shadowline trim, and cognac luxury seat interior.

For the record, I *never* would have picked this color combination had I ordered. In the configurator it's just meh. But the first time I saw it on the lot I was in love. After delivery I had my local detailers apply Ceramic Pro 9h. Here are the results:









The color has a depth and richness to it that I just can't capture on camera. It has earthy green / brown / grey tones that go wonderfully with the black trim and cognac interior. If anyone is on the fence about colors, try and go see this one on a car before you choose.

Its a great color. I saw a Manhattan Green X540i w/ the black 22" wheels on the lot when I went in to order my Phytonic Blue/Cognac 45e, almost changed my mind on the spot. If the 45e had a black wheel option, I probably would have went with green

That’s nice, I also was sucked into the Manhattan Green club. I prefer red, as my last 4 series was red. My car is undergoing a full Xpel wrap and ceramic coating.

Phytonic / cognac is exactly what I'd have ordered. Thanks, yeah, I'd also like black wheels. I may explore getting the ones I have now either powder coated or plasti-dipped, or just going to replacement black 21" at some point down the road.

Thanks! It's more heavily optioned than I'd have built -- wouldn't have sprung for the M, parking assist, wireless charging or harmon kardon. But now that I have them I can't imagine not. It doesn't have the Active Drive Assist Pro, which I wanted, but so far I've not missed it.

Had someone ask about the cognac interior, here's some pictures of that too. In the top picture I'd say the image is slightly redder than in real life. The bottom one is more washed out. Reality is closer to the top than the bottom.

My SA said Manhattan Green was their most ordered custom 45e color for what it's worth.

Had this same exact spec on order back June but canceled it to wait for the LCI

So everything is done, full Xpel PPF, Xpel Ceramic coating, and rims changed to 22” from 20”.

Congrats! I also just picked up a new 2023 Manhattan Green M50i and absolutely love it. Customer order that was cancelled. Had many black and white cars before - happy to get such a cool, underrated color.

Switching to the cerium grey grill and Alpina D20 wheels (off XB7) after winter in MN is over.

Added crossbars today -- Thule Wingbar Evo with flush towers, all in black. I know the Wingbar edge is a cleaner look, but functionally I like the overhang on the bar for tying things down (specifically Christmas trees, once a year)

Too funny, OP. My father in law was at Passport test driving X5s and I was trying to convince him to get this exact car. He was driving a 40i and I was trying to push him to the hybrid and the sport model, but he didn't really need either one. I was considering getting this one for myself, but other life things came up that took me off the car shopping market.

Hope to see this one around, I don't think I've seen the green in person yet.

Small world. You missed out on a terrific car, it's been a dream.

That is indeed the Baileys Crossroads REI parking lot, but the rack is from the new Rack Attack store right next door. I'd highly recommend them if anyone needs roof accessories.
