Wheel Sizes
Hi
Ive recently purchased a 2021 X5 40D MHT with 22" Wheels and have noticed both front tyres in less that 1 months have a small side wall gauge. Im super careful at pothole dodging and parking and cant understand why this has happened. Has anyone else noticed this behavior on 22s or is this just bad luck. Thanks |

What tires are you running, let’s see some pictures, I have staggered 21 P zero RFT, live in Los Angeles and have abused them through the canyons and potholes and don’t have any issues with them except for the noise and harsh ride of run flats.

This isn’t from pothole at all. Do you do a lot of dry steering? Meaning car completely not moving, foot firmly on brake, then turn steering?

Baders tires damages Look like sharp rocks cuts. It happens if a stone pavement is not properly fitted, and loose stones turn sideways, or doing some off road driving on rocks with street tires.

Tire sidewall bulges are very often produced because of driving at a low tire pressure. When the car hits a pothole, the wheel pinches the tire sidewall damaging it's internal reinforment and producing the bulge. |
