She is a peasant only because of the way she feels about cars.
My wife, driver of a 2021 X7, is a point A to B person. She was at our dealer picking up her car from service this week and randomly texts me that she really likes the iX, and would like to start looking at it as her next car. Next text is her perfect iX build off the BMW site. Please note that this is a woman who has probably never surfed an automobile website, let alone do online bids. Never to shy away from the thrill of a hunt, I found her perfect build at a dealer and offered the following (copy and paste from my email to the SA) 2024 iX50 MSRP: $103K Lease credit: $9,900 Additional discount: $9,000 - I am proposing but feel free to counter Residual: 54% (36/7.5) Money factor: .00075 (up from BMW April rate of .00069) We own the x7 and holding on to it I will pay all taxes and fees upfront. Monthly payment: $893. This is the counter offer I got back. It is a fair response but we are off around $3K. I’ll try to squeeze another $1K out but I maybe signing up for a car that I find absolutely hideous to look at 😂

If she is a peasant in the way she feels about cars, how is she driving an X7? If my wife felt that way, which she doesn’t, BMWs only, I would have gotten her a Chevy!

dont let her talk to my wife. Same situation several month ago and now we have IX M60. Wife loves it after X5 45e.
Regarding your lease (I assumed it is IX 50) I think it should be under 900/m |

I agree you should be able to do better. $9k off sounds like a lot in absolute terms, but its actually "only" 8.7% of MSRP. You should be able to get 10% off MSRP for any iX, and my guess is as dealers get even more interested in moving 2024 xDrive50s that could go into the 11-12% off range.
Also, I did a QnD plug of your numbers into LeaseHacker Calculator to try and back into the numbers they quoted you and my guess is they're giving you too high of a MF. I'm always suspicious when it's not included in the quote - you should ask for it. |

Deal done; dealer is tinting and PPFing before putting the car in an enclosed carrier.
I have a $48K offer from Carvana on my wife’s current X7 (2021 with 48K miles) which I will likely take.

My one minor remorse is about the wheels. First choice would have been the Aero 22 Style 1021 - see picture below.
Any recommendation on the best way to source these? Searching the web, my option seems to be eBay.

Love the color combo of the car you just leased…like belly buttons, everyone has an opinion; I like the 21s better than 22s…😊😊 and wouldn’t spend money for the 22s. But the that’s not your question…eBay is your best bet unless you want to pay retail, which I’m sure is quite high.

Keep in mind that BMW offers only performance (i. e. summer) tires with 22" wheels from the factory. So, you would've had to swap out the tires for all season ones anyway if your car had 22" wheels from factory and the temperatures in your region fall below 50F.

You did better than me on price and I worked with a lease broker on my 2024 in January, so nice work. Mine’s $103.5k MSRP, but I don’t have loyalty, and I think the money factor is better now.
