I’ve worked with this dealer before, the sales manager was clear if the car gets DAP dropped or any of the other packages, I don’t have to take delivery. I’m not worried there. I gave my dealer a small deposit a few months ago just to be sure I would be at the top of any list for the 2023 45e. and also agreed on MSRP (first time ever as in past have always negotiated from invoice pricing). My order was placed and the Vehicle Inquiry: Design/MSRP report lists the DAP package as included, but who knows what will show when a production number is issued. There is also a $175- credit for Driver Lumbar Support Only, which I did not request. That apparently is because of part shortages.

My dealership just told me they don't expect MY23 45e to be delivered this year. Do you guys think it is reasonable?

I would say they are full of it. They probably have a long waiting list and won't get you an allocation until next year, MY23 45e's will start production next month.

That's very helpful to know. I'm new to custom build process. So starting July BMWNA will send out MY23 allocations to dealership every week?

What if a dealer tell me I'm the first on the waitlist and will get an allocation once BMW sends it out in July. How do I know if they are being honest with me?

You don't know for sure. You just need to take their word for it, most times they are being honest, sometimes they are not and just stringing a person along.

No, allocations are sent to dealers once a month usually in the first few days.

Got a phone call from my dealer all the options I wanted were available with exception of Parking Assistance Package. Looks like this wasn’t available on the M340 either which was my backup option. I may wait for next month.

JW and Ken, did either of you try to order the luxury seating without the executive package? I know the pricing guides stated that was required but was hoping I could just do the premier which wasn’t showing as valid for the 45e.

Blue calipers

In the last few days several people are reporting that the Park Assist Pkg is not currently available but might be in the next few days. Anxiously waiting to see.......

Well the configurator allows you to order luxury seating package without the upgraded seats (matches to the price guide). It also doesn’t allow a 45e to order the Premium package (matching the pricing guide).

Dealer just enter my order and it confirmed the Luxury Seating/premium items noted above. Parking Assist was available - today - tomorrow who knows.

Looks like Parking Assist is available as of today! Let’s hope it stays that way.

My dealer was able to add Parking Assistance to my order today, however wasn’t able to yesterday. It now shows up my garage too as added to my order.

Dealer was able to add Parking assist to my 45e order yesterday as well. Wasn't available as an option when we did the final configuration last Monday.

My wife just placed an order for a 2023 X5 45e on Friday after our order for a 2022 was not able to be built. We have anallocation at our dealer. They expect build to be done in early August and expect delivery late August early September.
