BMW is beat to LED angel eyes by yet another company.

[

This is the 2010 Range Rover Sport RR. Annoys me that BMW pioneered Angel eyes but they've fallen behind.

BMW used to own Range Rover up until 2004 or so.. I forgot exactly when.. they sold it to Ford..

I've heard from Range Rover owners that 2004 year or whenever it was they sold it was the last year to get a good one..

What's your point? Mini is British but presently owned by BMW.

But I digress, Tata Motors of India bought Land Rover along with Jaguar recently.

Yep, the Germans stole the hill descent control from Land Rover.

A little off topic, but I've heard in the past that BMW owned Land Rover during the development of the RR sport, so it was more or less engineered by BMW... Not sure if that's true or not, but everyone that I know that owns one loves it!

Just curious, where did you get those pics? I would love the wallpaper sized version!

BMW sold LR to Ford in 2000 and the Range Rover sport appeared in 2005 (as the Range Stormer concept) so I don't think BMW had anything to do with it

Your right, I just found this excerpt from an article from 2005 by G. Chambers Williams III...

And now, the Range Rover Sport becomes the second Land Rover product developed under Ford tutelage, using the platform of the LR3 as its base, not the BMW-inspired Range Rover model.

So I guess BMW helped design the regular Range Rover, but not the sport...

Yes, BMW had nothing to do witht the Range Rover Sport. but they had everything to do with the current generation Range Rover. Everything about that car screams BMW. its really funny being inside one

Is the first picture supposed to be an advertisement or something? Cuz in the upper left window there is some creeper staring at the Range Rover... which is weird.

Personally, I think those angel eyes look horrible on the 'Rover. And I don't really care *that* much that my angel eyes are not LED's. It just pisses me off that the sedan doesn't come with the angel eyes as DRLs like the coupe does!

I think that the RR looks pretty cool but looks a little weird with angel eyes. Who knows, maybe it will look different in person
