i think it says something when the civilian/mainstream 335i bests the hot-rodded version of the A5. Audi's gonna really have to pull out some tricks if they want to compete with the M3 with their upcomming version of the RS 5.

well, they just have different badging. Everything is line up right, 328i - A5, 335i - S5, M3 - RS5. So they are definitely in the same category. albeit the audi is a lil more pricey.

Audi Rumors

A buddy of mine works for Audi. He says since the release of the N54, Audi is going back to the drawing board for Turbo development. He's also No. 1 on the waiting list for a 135i. If that isn't an endorsement, I don't know what is! All the more embarrassing is the fact the the new Audi 5 platform is the first to move to 50/50 weight distribution. All future Audi's will be striving for this new (ha!) balance. Wonder what took them so long? Things will change when Porsche takes over the company.

She also drove a Lamborghini a few seasons ago.

Seriously, the 335i looks incredibly well composed and fantastically well balanced. I am actually very surprised it was not quicker.

True. I had a 328i for a loaner for 2 days last week and it was so much fun, that the One has got to be stupid fun by comparison. I was amazed how fun the car was with just the base power plant.

Not wow'd by it as some people are but it is still a very appealing car.

It's a bit bland in some ways, but overall a fresh design for Audi.

Kind if an odd place for this thread but regardless, I love Vicki. She's great. The smile on her face as she drives the 335 is priceless. That video makes you just wanna :roundel:.

My $.02, the S5 is B E A yoootiful!!! Must be seen in the metal to appreciate and the interior is just

I saw the S5 at the auto show...simply stunning. The 335 doesn't hold a candle to it in the looks department (especially the interior...nobody beats Audi interiors). That said, you are going to pay a serious premium for those good looks.

Nice car. Audi cars are just so damn overpriced that it's easy to overlook them. A loaded TT will now run about 50K.

Sorry guys....I just don't get the fascination with Audi. Everyone I know that's owns one complains about the quality, and the price.

I am wowed. I think it looks even better in person. E92 is not a bad design, but it's kind of pedestrian next to the S5.

I love the new gen Audis with reduced front overhang. That was the main drawback of otherwise superb design in the past, and now that it's gone, both the A4 and the A5 look fantastic.

The new S4 is to have a 3.0 TT powerplant developing 330HP. Too bad it will be far too expensive.

Disagree. The E92 looks classic, contemporary and very natural. The S5's design is forced (especially in the front) and the horrid Audi grill was poorly squeezed into the front end. It also looks fat and heavy.

It's not ugly, but definitely not gorgeous.

Well I disagree with you there. I think that the S5 is the first time Audi actually made the new grill work

To each his own of course

Oh yeah, and I drive a MINI because I was tired of having to take my Audi in for repairs But you know what... I still miss my TQ :iono:
