X5 purchase in Scottsdale - any dealer recommendations?
I've got pricing for 10% off MSRP (before incentives) but includes $1,000 cost to ship to Arizona. This is for my mom and she really wanted someone to go over all the "tech" for her when she gets the car. Anyone know of a dealer or even broker that could help me get something similar "in" Phoenix area? We would have to place an order for the X5 vs finding it on a lot.
Or does BMW ever offer up someone that could help show her the tech (how to hook up the phone, app, etc)? I know if we didn't buy the car from the dealer they would have no interest helping. Thanks for any suggestions! |

Unfortunately no. If you're planning to have your vehicle serviced at a local dealer or develop a relationship, it doesn't hurt to ask if the dealer's Genius could provide her with assistance.

I've had only 1 service experience with the BMW dealer in N. Scottsdale on Scottsdale Rd just off the 101. Anyway it was a pleasant serivce, job was completed in a timely manner (air bag recall on our 2000 323). They provided a free loaner car (well you put in the gas). The BMW franchise is part of the Penske Group (Roger Penske Team with 18 Indianapolis 500 victories). Penske also has Audi, Porsche, in this autoplex. Other high end German, Italian, UK auto dealerships are also in the area.
We have had our 2014 Q5 serviced by the Audi dealership there, again part of Penske. No problems whatsoever. I will be having our X5 serviced there, bought online and doing PCD on 4 May then driving back to AX. So will be buying the extended service and maintenance contracts through them. We live in Sedona so it is the closest BMW dealer. I had good experiences with Penske BMW in San Diego. Rodger seems to run a pretty tight ship on all their dealerships. I bet they would be more than willing to help you out with instructing and getting the car set up for your mom. Unfortunately I don't have a specific POC for you as we are relatively new (2 yrs) to the area. Just my point of view.

Most BMW Genius are willing to help out. The good ones don't care if you purchased from their dealership or not. There is plenty of other business they can earn from you than just sales and word of mouth is important.
