Honestly, this intrigues me. Mine was made on January 4th it was in quality control 155 until January 18th and has been in 165 ever since... dealer told me it is now on a ship. I have doubts because it should have switched to 180 but it is still in 165... I also called BMW customer service who told me that there were delays in transport. It took them three weeks to respond... and when I asked when it would be shipped they said they didn't know. In other words, reading on the forum the shipping and delivery issue is very successful. In 2024 BMW's customer service in Italy literally sucks.

Since the end of January many ships have left... unfortunately none of these were carrying mine...
It probably depends on many factors. One of these is certainly the problem linked to possible accidents involving cars from the factory to the port of departure. My dealer told me that mine was held back for some time due to the assessment of damage involving several cars during transport to the port.
However, it must be said that BMW customer service told me nothing about these things, claiming that it was just a delay. European customers are certainly not treated with US customers. Of us Europeans, only the Germans have a privileged corridor when reading on the forum. They receive their car within a month of production. In fact this is the case because if you look on German sites that sell cars you see stocks of cars produced a month earlier. In Italy, however, the stock of x5-x6 practically does not exist. Only very few cars... perhaps from customers who dropped out while waiting.
Having said that, from what I read on the forum from 165 it should switch to 180 when it actually leaves from the United States.

Hi, did they notify you of a change in status or are you still at 165?

I have a 50e in status 165. Now I doubt if it is in port waiting for a ship or it is on the ship that left on April 3 from Charleston.....

mine is still in 165 and has been since January 18th... I've been waiting for my ship for months... and no one at BMW can tell me if it was actually shipped... or rather they told me it was shipped on March 8th but I think at this point it was a lie.

American customers have a completely different treatment... we poor Europeans are at the mercy of luck. I have read on this forum about people who have waited a month for transport and those like me who have waited months and months and are still waiting, apparently I don't understand why. Usually, however, the cars sitting at the port waiting there last at least three weeks from the production date.

honestly I did a lot of research to understand how to have a bolt... nothing and BMW doesn't say anything. At least I'm speaking for myself... of course... but if anyone knows anything and wants to talk it would be greatly appreciated.

Genius only gives the status and expected delivery that is subject to change ,dealer says 4/5 weeks, both are aligned with week 19.But 4/5 weeks for delivery to Ireland from Germany 🤢🤢so I suppose it’s sit and wait.

No, it stops first at the port of Zeebrugge and from there on another boat to the port of Santander.
