There are countless posts and this dedicated threads among others dedicated to this feature:
https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...sisted+driving However, no evidence has surfaced that this will be available for the 2019s. Do you know differently JayPichardo ?

When your car is flashed, each impacted ECU is recoded at which point new features can become available. In Japan the feature is apparently offered to 3 series owners as a paid aftermarket software retro fit, VO Code 5AR. This codes the Assisted Drive View and also extended Traffic Jam Assistant. Most US 2019 build cars with 5AU already have 5AR but it does not appear to include the same Assisted Driving coding as the Japan cars, at least not yet. |

Just to clarify that this option is available or in the future can be coded only if you have the traffic jam assist package or the driver assistance package and not just the adaptive cruise control and parking assistance package correct?

It uses the extended KAFAS and probably also the radars (FRSx) that DAP (5AU) uses, so that appears to be a hardware dependency. That said, I haven't tested it with anything other than 5AU so can't say with authority but I know where my money would be. |

Does it improve lane assist functionality? Or it is the same as before, disengaging by itself if gets unsure etc. Basically, does lane keeping works before after update? Thank you.
