OBD port locking device
Has anyone purchased something like this? Theft is on the rise and I’d like to protect my car as much as possible.
I can’t seem to find anything decent online. They’re either $500 or $30. |

By default, BMW already lock the OBD2 port.
It will trigger alarm when someone trying to access the OBD2 port while armed.

I bought a port to code using BIMMERCODE and it didn’t have any alarm go off. I’m assuming what you’re referring to will happen if the car is locked/key is not in close proximity/some iteration of my car being locked and the alarm armed?

I’ve left an obd2 port reader in the car with a phone app, lock the car and walk away and then the car alarm sounds. Have to go back and unplug it.
