No you are not crazy. It was a bug in 6.5.8 that this thread wouldn’t mark as read (before you made your reply). 6.5.9 is going to be out within the next few hours (depending on apples speed) that will have fixed that as well

apptest, tried to edit a post on the app, which went fine but when I checked it on my laptop, it was not edited. Is this a bug in the new version of the app?

I noticed this today as well on edits made yesterday. I mainly use the iOS app. I’m on the desktop site now, but the edits done in the iOS app are not reflected. this is a new bug

it’s edited when looking at the post in the app, but that should also edit the post on the desktop site = synced (it has functioned like that for years). see screenshots below. first is the iOS app post with edited thread. second is the desktop site post not reflecting the edits i did on the iOS app post. (the edits were done yesterday). it's not a desktop site issue, either, as the iOS edited post doesn't reflect on the Bimmerpost site in Firefox, Chrome, or Safari. also not a cache thing because i usually use Chrome and only logged in under Firefox and Safari for the first time today to confirm this issue

ok, i will explain a little more.

1) when i edit a post in the iOS app, it does not reflect the edit in the desktop site

2) when i edit a post in the desktop site, it does reflect the edit in the iOS app

so right now, the edits are only syncing one way: from desktop site to iOS app but not the other way around

Ya I think all the edits are just fine and in fact a bit of cache is getting in the way. If you edit a thread (even if it’s already been edited) the new updates should now show up

yes, i re-edited 2 additional posts in the other thread while in the iOS app, and the desktop site reflected both edits. i used the same desktop, too (Chrome) and didn't clear any caches whatsoever

apptest there is another small issue i noticed after this version of the app went live. (i just didn't know how to report it until today.)

the number of Notifications have always showed up properly on both the desktop site and iOS app, BUT when i remove the notifications while on the desktop site, the numbers disappear from the desktop site, but they still show on the iOS app Notification area. again, even though i've read and cleared all notifications on the desktop site, the iOS app Notification area still shows the number even though the actual notifications/posts are gone. i always have to press "Delete all" in the iOS app just to remove the notification number

again, it's a one-way syncing issue, but this time changes in the desktop site Notification area are not syncing to the iOS app Notification area. (unfortunately, i cleared everything, but i'll post screenshots demonstrating this next time...shouldn't be long)

Ya good catch. There’s a new calculation for the notifications for which the desktop site needs to transition to. To do that a few other things need to be changed first. So it’s a case of needing to do 10 things first before being able to change the one thing so I decided to let it fly for the time being until those other 10 can be fixed

apptest I’m noticing that, when replying on threads, I can’t scroll the message text input field. So, if I’m typing a somewhat longer message and the text reaches the edge where the text field meets then keyboard, then I lose the ability to see what I’m typing. The text field still keeps accepting text down below the top edge of the keyboard, but I can’t tell what it is that I’m typing. Many typos inevitably ensue. I’ve taken to cutting the first half of my message, finishing the message, and the pasting the first half of the message back into the text field.

This is on my iPhone 13 mini running iOS 17.6.1 and version 6.6.0 of the BIMMERPOST app.

Is it possible to try upgrading to 6.6.1 and see if it has the same issue?
