Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your order. Hopefully your dealer will have an allocation so they can order it for you. If you don't get a production number shortly then contact them and ask what is going on.

It all depends on the Production week. Lets says you get Week 3 2024 which starts Jan 15. 1-2 weeks before that your order will move the "Production Begins" and you will get a production date. You can get the production date via the F12 process described in this forum.

Assuming you get Jan 15 as prod date, in most cases it will be dispatched by end of the week. In some cases, it gets stuck in "QC" or "at Port" status for a few days resulting in 2-3 weeks more.

10/23 - Ordered. Scheduled for W46
Nov 5 - Still in “Scheduled for Production”
Nov 7 - Moved to “Production Begins” with prod date as 1/20
Nov 15 - Prod date moved to 11/21

Nov 21 - Prod date moved back to 11/21,
Nov 21 - 11 AM - Entering Assembly
Nov 21 - 3 PM - Quality Check
Dec 1 - 8:30 AM - AWAITING CARRIER ASSIGNMENT
Dec 4 - 9:30 AM - Dispatched from Factory

17 Nov Status - Dispatched from Factory (Maryland Bound) (8:30PM EST)

02 NOV status - Website says production begins (Projected date 16 Nov)
24 OCT status - BMW Genius informs Week 46 Build (Nov 13 -19)
21 OCT status - Order submitted

I would start contacting other dealers today and shopping your build around. See if there are any with an allocation that will match or beat your deal. Give your dealer a day or two to provide you with a production number just in case they are slow in entering them.

I was just told that the estimated wait for X6 is 2 to 3 months - any truth to that what I call rumor?

It could be your dealer has their future allocations spoken for. There are much fewer X6 allocations than there are X5's so wait times and prices can be higher.

Switch my order to a 2024 BMW X5 about a week ago. I got my production number this morning (12/29) - Prod Date: 1/12 using the F12 process. My CA tells me I should have the car by the 19th or so.

I ordered my car over a month ago. Still on status 047… awaiting production slot confirmation

My car got built last night (1/11) and has been dispatched from the factory. It's moving along. I'm getting excited. Got to get thru this blizzard first. Still looking for 1/19 delivery.
