I thought I would not be impatient and just wait for the CA to let me know when my X5 is here. But after less than 3 weeks of waiting, I gave up and called Genius and it's WW47 (Nov19- Nov25).

Ordered on Oct13, feels like a long wait.

ikr!! CA vaguely gave an early December timeline when placing the order and I thought it prob won't take that long. Apparently he meant it.

I think you missed the dates. He ordered in October and it is being built in November so his dealer had a current allocation. The allocations are for the next month's production.

11/3 - dealer allocation, status 111
11/4 - we place our order, status 112
11/5 - we add DAP, just in time
11/6 - status 150

11/06 - called BMW Genius and got a Week47 production date.

I was told the production will take 3-4 weeks, only after that a more accurate deliver date will be available.

I set out to order a ‘24 Cayenne S. Similarly spec’d it was $20k +/- more than my M60i. Seven weeks order to delivery for the BMW a week of which was spent awaiting a software update before dealer could deliver. Most likely I wouldn’t have the Cayenne yet. And I got a $6400 discount on the M60. Woulda got zero discount on the Pcar.

Welcome to the forum. You received bad information. Assembly takes less than a day and will occur on your production date in Week 47. Since you are in CA you hold see delivery in about three to four weeks after that.

Week 47, moved to 150 Production Begins yesterday. 11/7.

Still at Scheduled for Production as of today morning. Considering WW47 is going to be a short week, I believe mine will be pushed to WW48.

So, I got the F12 inspect to work so that I could see all the loaded options and production date. Genius said Production date was 11/19, MyGarage says 11/20.

There are a few option codes that I couldn't find. I used the 2024 BMW X5 pricing guide to look them up. Sharing for those who are interested.
