I took a look at the X5 2025's yesterday and IMO BMW should working on not making their cars any uglier and not spending their time toys like "Light Animation".

Sounds like you may have hit a junk site. There will be no change to the 25 X5 as the LCI will run until August of 2026.

Thats odd. Not sure why it would be just for the 50e.

I can't believe its related to that version though ..... unless its simply got the hooks built in for this new feature.

it’s been like this with modern video games for years. download/purchase the original game, and the developers will push DLC for enhanced/added/new experiences.

after all, these cars are rolling computers/consoles nowadays lol

I think this particular DLC is laughable, though. time and money would be better spent on improving the OTA feature

Took delivery of a 2024 x5 40i yesterday and saw this $50 option so I bought it and nothing is different. Don’t see the settings to select adagio or any others. Any one know how to make it work, or did I get suckered?

I haven't purchased it myself. Was kind of waiting for someone else ...

I would poke around in the interior light settings. There must be something there to configure the different options. I get the impression there are 3 to choose from ...

Still says activating. 2 days activating. Perhaps someone has to approve it.

I bought this in a moment of weakness and it's super lame.

It's three different "patterns" for when the welcome lights (just the DRLs in the headlights) turn on. Waste of money!

The rear lights are suppose to be most effective in the different modes ... according to BMW genius.

I'm curious if anyone knows eligibility criteria for this. I have 2024 40i idrive 7/2023.58 and my connected drive doesn't show it as an option.

Seems only available with idrive 8.5 11/2023 or above version (not available 07/2023 or under)

This seems not be available in Europe (yet). Also my 3D view does not work, tells me i have to accept terms in bmw guide app and then nothing happens….

We have a trial available here. Tried it, my app says i have it, however i'm not sure what it does.. doesnt seem to do anything. Glad i dint buy it! Other manufacturers have "welcome light animations" that actually do something.. free of charge. WHY? Because you already own the car!
