Hood emblem, loose, fell off
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com It came off. Upon inspection, it seems it had no glue/tape and perhaps never inserted properly. Weird, eh? I have to get the 1200 mile break in service in a couple of weeks and will bring the emblem. X6MC 2022 |

The two plastic anchors are there.
The emblem has no glue or rubber gasket attached to it. I was expecting it to have double tape around the circumference. |

I'd keep that emblem for the coolness factor and get another new one when its at service.
Very weird indeed.

There is no adhesive used at the factory. The emblem just gets pressed into the two grommets. Maybe a scoundrel was trying to swipe it and got scared off by someone walking by?

So interestingly, when I removed my original (blue and white) emblems, I did notice that there was double sided tape in a circular fashion, which made it quite a challenge to remove. When I installed my 50-year anniversary emblems, I did not use any double sided tape, and it fit into the grommets very snug. I suggest using new grommets if anything.
