Idalia storm is delaying my X6 delivery in Belgium

My order changed to 193 on 12/03/2024, it has been in Cuxhaven ever since. The estimated delivery date which was updated at the same time is today 25/03/2024 (safe to say it wont be delivered today)..

The dealer says more checks are now underway.

Still stuck in Germany, they said it’s at cuxhaven, however the GPS was activated on the MyBMW app last week and showed its location to be Munich 👀

my dealer has kindly provided me with a demonstrator while we wait on BMW to decide what they are doing with the X5, the dealer also ordered an identical X5 weeks ago to get one in the system (just in case mine dosnt turn up). BMW have been useless, the dealer on the other hand has been great.

BMW customer services now say it could be another 12 weeks before I receive an update.. they had the cheek to say if I want to cancel my order and basically try again I could. I’ve emailed the dealer saying I’m lost for words. I really can’t believe how poor BMW are.. it’s now been 20 weeks since the X5 departed plant..

Okay, that sucks a lot. Mine just (weekend) landed here in Finland. Dealer told me this morning that my car is ready for pickup by end of this week or next.

Yes. The stop status will not be removed until the car has reached the final inspection at the importer (BMW Finland) or my local dealer.

My car finally arrived at the dealer. I already went to see it from the outside. I found no signs of salt water or damage. The dealer has received very precise instructions from BMW on how to check the car before the STOP status can be released.

They have to take at least more than 30 photos from different places and send them to BMW. BMW gives the final approval whether the car can be handed over to me or not.

If everything is in order, handover would be possible immediately after inspections and final approval.

Our car was ready to deliver mid March, still stands at the dealer, blocked….. no news at all!!

Do they have any plan how this is solved?…you have been waiting a very nicely and nothing is happening.. i would be pissed!

Well….. I am pissed, what are the options for us…? In the meantime they ‘offer’ to rent a MINI for a small price 🤮
