I decided to run it at the end of my drive yesterday. I have engine start unchecked. I walked out, locked the car, came back, looked in to check and saw everything was off with the fan sign running. My question is will it stop on its own or we need to shut it off? It doesn’t look like there’s a timer option unless you start from the app. Thanks.

Post drive preconditioning is great is you want to leave pets in car when you run in store. It keeps AC running and no dead critters in your back seat when you get back

So you get the preconditioning when the car turns off so in case you’ve got passengers in the car you can hit preconditioning the car will restart and the AC will run until you get back

THere's a time limit on how long the HVAC will continue to run. There are also differences between the PHEV and the mild-hybrid versions about what works and when. The PHEV never runs the ICE when preconditioning. As implemented, the other versions must, unless it's just the mode to blow air through the heat exchanger, extracting what it may have left as residual.
