50e - how to see on iD8 display when ICE is running when in Hybrid mode?

Third day with new 50e - what a great vehicle! My first BMW too.
I was trying to determine when/if the ICE was running when I was in hybrid mode. Also would like to see rpms on ICE when running (also in hybrid mode). I've looked closely at the Power bar display when in hybrid and just cannot detect any indication on there that the ICE is operating.
Has anyone else found a way to determine that?

The battery range display at the lower right of the instrument cluster display changes from blue to light gray when the ICE is running. If it's blue, the ICE is off.

I'm not sure I've ever found ICE RPM data on both the 45e or 50e.

RPM can be checked when Sport mode is used.
You can set Sport Individual into comfort everything then it will act as regular hybrid with Sport interface.

Thanks - sounds like a subtle but useful indicator....

Now that is interesting, another useful method. I'll be giving it a try soon. Many thanks.

I too am a new 50e owner. Also my first BMW. I'm having a very difficult time figuring out what is happening when driving in the various modes...especially Hybrid Eco Pro. The owners manual is not the most helpful book on the subject. BTW....thanks for explaining the Blue vs Gray colors on the instrument cluster. I've called BMW Genius several times, and although they've tried, I usually hang up almost as confused as when I called. I looked for a YouTube that would discuss all the various things that show up on the instrument cluster, especially the Power side.

On ID7 there's a screen that shows what vehicle systems are being used called "energy flow". I'd like to think there's a similar screen in ID8.

There is no way in 50e to see ICE rpms when in Hybrid mode.
