Why would you dismiss so quickly? You can get 2.2% off a new 40i specD your way. With a 23’, you will take an immediate, steep depreciation hit within 2 weeks once the new ones hit the road. There isn’t a big change, but enough to age the existing model ( +40 horsepower, updated info tech and front and rear changes). If you are not going for 50i, I think the next best value is the 24 40i.

Yea you’re not wrong on the value proposition. I have a broker who has them at 7.25% off. A few others have 5% or so. So yes I can easily do that and get a better deal than my current 23.

I did debate this for a while. It’s a tough one. I’m just not that into the LCI. But I could build it precisely to spec which means every damn option including alcantara headliner

Yeah, I was in your shoes a month ago. I didn’t go for 23’50i because I specd one at 90k, but could only find a dealer willing to do 3k off. Not enough of a discount to mitigate aging model. I didn’t even consider a 23’ 40i because of lack of options, lack of discount and 40 less HP. So, I settled on a 24’ 40i msport at 82k msrp less 2%.

Custom build would be really nice. Spec the interior exactly how you want. Soft close doors little extra touch. I think skyscraper could look real nice but afraid of the msport black grill. So prob stick carbon black.

I can’t argue against you for doing that! We’d have similar builds is my guess. I just did mine at 85395.

I went SBM for the same reason, afraid of new grill style. You would be fine with CB as well. I’m taking a little flyer on the looks, I do understand that. Crossing my fingers that it looks good in person. I got the 21” 741’s, so the car should look good. Replacing a 15’ x5. Hoping I’ll notice the xtra 75 hp. Im scheduled for April 5th build, so I will report on the forum as soon as I receive.

Best of luck!
Can’t go wrong with black sapphire. It’s what my m550 is. My son really wants me to get a blue car lol. So carbon black seems like a good compromise haha. Let’s be honest here, he runs my life..

M50i if coming from a M550. Unless in a hurry, keep searching and get one with Executive and DAP. I've got DHP and tow with DAP and Exec, which is even more of a rarity to find.

Unfortunately at this point there is such little inventory left on the 23s that I can’t be picky. Unless I wanted to pay close to msrp and not through a broker.

This is hard to argue against - I’m being offered a brand new 2023 89.6k m50 for 81.2k (8.5% off and 750 rebate). Are those options worth the 15k+ more to get a fully optioned car paying close to sticker?

Wow - that quickly? The new screen is also in the x7's, so it is not really "new". I'd think the HP alone would be the decision maker since you are comparing to a X5M 50i. I'm sure the 50i will be great though! Everything around me has the orange interior so I'm waiting. I want to see the M package in person.
