I was bummed that my '22 production bumped to a '23 but I got over it pretty quickly once it showed up at the dealer.
I would be bummed if I ordered a '23 and it bumped to a '24 but I would probably get over that as well.
I think I'll wait for a year or so but I'll for have my dealer give me a call if/when they get one in so that I can check it out.

Looks like the lower front is only half way finished...... Bummer really messed up the great X5 look IMO.

Thanks for the summary!
x-line version looks ugly, M - good. The price increase is rather unpleasant one

You can drive up to 85mph without hands on wheel according to UK press release about highway assistant.

What are you comparing it to? Seems like a pretty compelling package to me for $14k less than a Cayenne E-Hybrid (and probably $25k less when equally equipped). What else is comparable?

Wonder if there's more standard equipment to bring the optioned price closer to parity with some of the 40i models.

I really like my 2020 40i, but I think I like the LCI M sport better. Not enough to trade it in, but maybe I will pass this one to my son in a few years and get another.

That is a major improvement. Currently hands-free is only available under 40mph. Highway Exit Assistant should also be available which will allow the vehicle to automatically make the maneuvers necessary to take the exit.

Any new interior/exterior color's?
Once I drove the full M I understood. A few hundred feet off the dealer’s lot and I was sold. Many enhancements beyond 0-60 time.

Are the Laser Lights truly gone? I know it has been said they were going away, but there are 3 different headlight designs from the pictures I've seen.
  • The first is missing the Cornering Light
  • The second has the Cornering Light
  • The third has the Cornering Light and blue elements like the pre-LCI Laser Lights. The third picture came from the BMWUSA website.

I recently put down a deposit for an ~April 2023 X5 50e build. I'm cautiously optimistic about this refresh.

I'll have a hard time parting with my X3 M40i (my favorite all-around car ever) but look forward to fewer trips to the gas station given my city driving patterns.

Here are some thoughts:

Awesome:
  • The rear tail lights are much improved. They have a point of view and look much less "bug eyed."
  • The 50e wheels in the press photos are gorgeous. I hope these are all-season because I''m never again making the mistake of buying a wheel that doesn't support all-season (such as on my 21" X3 wheels...). The tire swapping is a hassle.
  • From the below photo, looks like I can get Bowers and Wilkins on the 50e. YES.
  • I really like the seat pattern in the below photo. Might anyone know if these non-leather seats are as comfortable as the leather?

Hmm:
  • The price is obnoxious. I'm going to load it up fully and might also cross-shop against a Cayenne at this point. But BMW tech/automation always win.
  • While the front end looks much better for the base model (even despite the simpler headlights), I wonder if the M Sport front end will look great in anything but black. Since I wanted to get Dravit Gray, I'll need to do a long think about color. Any suggestions here?

How about the current model package? I will receive a 2023 go
G05 with DAP so I was wondering what is the major difference between them. Thanks,

I was wondering the same thing. They're gone from the X3 and X7 so I assumed they're gone here too, but that third picture is interesting...

Cayenne price gets obnoxious pretty fast too once you start adding options. I was comparing the Cayenne GTS Coupe, X6M, and GLE 63S Coupe. Aside from being the slowest of the three, it was around 10-15k more if optioned to be equivalent to the other two.

This is a winner. Safe bet on BMW’s design dept (can’t believe it) for one of the highest volume vehicles in their entire lineup. BMW knew what they were doing by keeping this LCI tame by comparison to other models. The exterior design was great pre-LCI, proof is in the sales numbers, glad they didn’t butcher the exterior design on the LCI. This car will continue to sell like crazy.

Sorry to disappoint you but don't assume that Bowers & Wilkins or anything else interesting you see in these photos will be available on 50e in the US. There is a disclaimer under all the photos on the US BMW websites saying "European Model Shown".

Ah well. There are worse things than H/K, though B&W is incredible (have B&W Formation wireless throughout my house). I will be okay.

I love the disclaimer on photos clearly from the southwest United States. I will still hold out hope that they want to make more money off me and offer me the better sound system.

If the supply is there I'm sure they would love to sell it to you.

It's probably about right. It was honestly pretty cheap. The Grand Cherokee is higher priced if you wanted similar features and is a worse car with worse engine.
