I've been watching many videos of The 24' LCI and I am in LOVE with the hyper aggressive front end and headlights! Particular on the X5M.
We were strongly considering a new RR Sport to replace our X50i. But they've done enough inside and out to make us reconsider and stick with Bimmer. Although I believe a near 10% increase for the same body and platform is reaching. |

In other news, I got nearly 24mpg on a recent highway drive with the LCI x5m. So the mild hybrid system yields some tangible benefits there clearly. Should offset your other costs!

Wgat about this "charging extra for subscription to things like heated and cooling seats"? I hope that's not the case because that's completely absurd and greedy if true. |

It’s been pretty painless so far (even the massaging seats are pretty great)

X6M doesn't sell as many units as the X5M, therefore it costs more.

Thanks for the clarification. I always wondered that-- especially after a guy told me that it was worth me because it had more stock options. I looked at the ordering guides and couldn't find differences. I'm X5MC all the way, however. 😁

1. Note that sports cars are associated with wealth, privilege and will sell for premiums 2. Take a boxy SUV, cut a bunch of metal out of it to make it swoopy and “sports car” like. Market it accordingly. 3. Sell this compromised, lower cost thing (e.g. less material / lower BOM) for more money, in order to increase margins. 4. Spend year-end bonus, probably not on an X6. |

X5M is > $2,000 month, that’s at buy rate MF and invoice. Allocations are tight, so expect to pay significantly more, unless you have an established CA/SM.

I'm just gonna say this: When I bought my X6M, I didn't care about space at all. There's plenty of that in the X6 anyway and you can have anything delivered to your doorstep these days, no need to haul a fridge from the store anymore. I wanted a jacked up coupe, a batmobile looking monster. So if space is not a factor, why would anyone consider the X5 anyway...for the elegant boxy tractor looks?
Everyone always compares the X6 to the X5 as if choosing between these two is THE dilemma. If you like the way the M4 or the M8 looks, you have kids and want to sit a bit higher and comfier, you go for the X6. It has all the comfort an SUV can offer, and it's the closest to those sporty coupes that you like. I think the X6 buyer values different things, such as design, in a car compared to the X5 buyer that is all about utility. There's no dilemma. No idea why the price difference, but I'd say they sell less of them, so that's why. |

Interesting that the M4, both coupe and convertible, for the LCI got a 20hp engine boost, new style steering wheel with flat bottom, and iDrive 8.5 with M skins.
