Has anyone installed or used JB4 on the new LCI X5's? Any feedback or review would be awesome!

Just picked mine up this past weekend. Also interested. Numbers look promising for the b58 Gen 3.

Yes they do! So I Called around today to Dinan and also JB4. Jb4 they have something out for the gen 3. But if you're looking for the quick jb+ or dinans version called the Dinan sport there is nothing out yet for a quick 30-40hp. I am waiting for dinan to come out with something.

#s are damn good.
The B58 is demonstrating BMWs advertised HP level at the wheel which translates to an approximate 440HP Flywheel. Lay on another 75 and a bunch of torque with a JB4 and you are in the 515 range.

Had German Motors here in Wayne, NJ install it along with the springs + AA downpipe (downpipe didn’t end up fitting).

Truth be told I’m so happy with the power the car is putting down with the JB4. I imagine this is close to what the M60i feels like stock. Definitely 100% happy with the direction I chose. Now obviously an M60i with the JB4 would be a whole different animal. But to be in the 450+whp range is plenty. (I’m running map 3 with Sunoco 94
Octane).

The other day I did 0-60 logged on a relatively flat road in 3.925sec as recorded by the JB4. I’m going to get the dragy device to get more precise numbers. But based upon how it felt, I knew it was sub 4 sec before I checked it.

Really stoked to reap additional power benefits of downpipes + intake when they’re available for this 3rd generation B58, as well as the audible differences. The only thing missing now is sound.

Good job! 3.9 is outstanding as I am sure that you well know. Current B58 has balls in factory calibration with much more left on the table.
Your tuned power to weight is just about equal to that of a stock M60i.
There are many casual observers out there who will say that half a second to .75 doesn't make any difference but in reality it is an enormous difference when you are in the 4 something range. A vehicle capable of high 3s 0-60 vs one doing 4.7 are two different animals.
A vehicle that can do 0-60 in the 3s is really fun for many of us and equates to an enjoyable driving experience, always good to have this extra muscle on tap with or without the family on board.

Just ordered the JB4 for my 2024 X5 40i. If anyone has any tips or advice it will be much appreciated! It arrives on Monday I will be installing it then.

I have installed a JB4 on an M50i but not on the 40i.
There are a number of installation videos on Youtube and there may be one for the X5 on Burger's site.
One suggestion I can make is to not run the OBD port connector cable through the firewall. Just run it around the drivers door pillar and up under dash to the OBD port which is very accesable.
Let us know how you like it after install.
I'm going to go with the JB4 on my M60i after I get about 3,000 miles on it.

Guys if you have an LCI X5 don’t walk RUN and grab the JB4. I just got done installing it this afternoon and I drove around on map 2 and it is a significant difference over stock even on just map 2. I’m in Texas so I am running 93. I did send a log over to Terry at Burger Tuning to let me know if it is safe for me to jump up to Map 3 and maybe even Map 4 if I incorporate some Race fuel or E85. So far I am very very impressed! I honestly did not think it was going to be this big of a difference.

As far as the install, the connections on the engine were pretty straightforward. The only tricky part was getting the cable from the OBD two port to the JB4 unit. I was very particular about not having to see any wires when I open the door. so I actually ran the wire through one of the grommets that sticks out from where the door hinge is located. Out of curiosity, why are you going with the JB4 over the RaceChip?

I have used both on other vehicles as well as full ecm flash tunes.
You can go a little more aggressive with the JB4 where the lowest map is usually 4 lbs and then 6 lbs on 93 octane with the ability to run a custom map where the RaceChip I beleive maxes out at 3 lbs.
The JB4 also monitors a medley of engine functions and parameters through the OBD port.

Thanks, I have only ever done pro/custom tunes so this is a relatively new space for me.
