x5 fuel door won't close

Hello everyone, recently lent my x5 to a friend and they broke off the spring for the fuel door. The fuel door will not stay closed so applied hook/loop to keep it closed in the meantime until it gets fixed. From my research I believe it's the spring that was broke off. I found similar pieces for sale but can't find the part number for the G05 x5 or the spring itself. Anyone know where I could purchase the piece and how to fix it. Thank you

You may have to get that entire piece and not just the spring. Try part# 51177440018 and see if that would do it.
