Seat adjustment using Digital Key

Hi,
Does anyone know if two users exclusively use digital keys (phone or watch… no fob) to open and start the vehicle will the separate profiles we’ve created still adjust to each of our settings (seat, radio presets etc) or can they only be saved to the fobs which have to be physically present for this to work? 2024 X5 40i

Pretty sure the car should behave the same as with the physical fobs. It certainly shows the correct profile active.

That being said I find the seat memory profile function to be very wonky. Sometimes it goes back to my settings, but often not and I cannot figure out the rhyme or reason. I happened to carry the fob yesterday and it didn’t seem to make a difference.
