Almost immediately after install of catless downpipes on my ‘21 X5 m50i, cel turned on and remote start would not function.

I expected cel but did not expect remote start to not work. Has this happened to anyone?
Is it safe to say that remote start malfunction is a result of cel?

Btw… the difference in exhaust note and power is amazing with catless downpipes and I do not regret install. Just trying to get to the bottom of this. Thank you for any and all input.

Yes, it's normal for remote start not to work when you have a CEL.

There's a German company that makes a Check Engine Delete that I got and had a BMW mechanic install. Got rid of the CEL and remote start is working.

the Lieb can mil deleter does what it says. I wonder if it shows monitors as being ready for when you go get inspection done.
