I don't recall your exact build, but did you have order options that might explain the delay? I had every substantive order option available included in my build and never even managed to see it in QC status through the tracker.

I hope mine isn't of inferior quality.

Thank you so much for that information. The Genius at my dealership was not able to provide me with the same information. He believed, as I did, that it was something that was available on the X5. My vehicle was built on September 26, 2023 and delivered to the dealership on Friday the 29th with version 07/2023.40. That doesn't seem to make much sense to me why it would not have .53

The factory rarely, if ever, installs the latest version of iDrive. Versions come out so often that a new one is released before the previous one is in production. Very few dealers install the latest version as part of PDI, that would like be the only way a delivered vehicle has the latest.

Perfect and thorough explanation. Sincerely appreciate that. I told them I have a chance to bring it by in a couple of Saturdays and they said that they would update it without question.

I will say this as an observation about Comfort Access. It is no where near as sensitive as my 2019 G05 X5 that was frustratingly annoying, especially in the garage at my home. My 2024 seems to be much more keenly aware of my intentions. The yellow lights in the headlight assembly and red lights on the side of the taillight assemblies light up when it detects me in range, but doesn't unlock unless I continue directly toward the vehicle.

X6 M60i, CBM, with ext Merino leather and 742M wheels. I had all packages except Executive. Also got trailer hitch, massaging seats, and luggage compartment mat.

So nothing crazy. Maybe hitch??

Doesn't sound like anything crazy. I didn't have trailer hitch or massaging seats, but I did have executive. I chose to purchase the all-weather mats and cargo compartment mat from my dealership separate from my build to make sure there was no holdup at inland port.

I just hate it for you being in QC purgatory.

Mine is a fairly minimally equipped by this forum's standards, but it does have a trailer hitch.

Premium Package
Rear manual window shades
Multi-contour seats
Heated front seats/steering wheel

To me it doesnt seem logical to start building a car if they dont have all the parts... but then this really isnt my field of expertise. On the other hand, I'd rather them fix it now than to find issues later.

The wait just stinks!

The holdup in QC is very rarely related to parts not being available for the original build. We have seen it happen a few times over the last couple of years but that is not the reason that a vehicle usually is held in QC. It stays there longer due to replacement parts not being available.

Day 10 in QC. My understanding is there is no way to get any information on what the problem is, or when it might be resolved. A bit frustrating.

That is correct. The factory will not release the reason a specific vehicle is in QC to either Genius or the dealer.

I'm having them put dampers on. They are putting ppf and ceramic as well.
