We just ordered an M60i to replace my M50i that just got totaled. Almost exact configuration except I got the DAP on this one. Tanzanite w/coffee merino. Quite a few changes in the cockpit on this one. I'll miss the buttons, etc. It's scheduled for production; no VIN yet thankfully. My dealer has to revise the order on Monday because he put in the wrong trim and wheels/tires which I didn't notice until I got home. Hope he catches it in time.

I'm also wondering what happened to the active grille? The videos I see now it's not there. I thought it was a cool feature

Congrats on the order. The illuminated grill is not available on the M60i.

I was wondering about the active grill, those automatic shutters that close when the engine cools down or during cold weather, and open when the engine is hot. (I don't mind not having illuminated grill but it looks cool though.)

I stopped checking on the status after I found out it's going to be a week 45 build (week of Nov 5). However, I decided to peek one more time and it's now Production Begins. Nice to see some sort of a change. I'm psyched I'd love to get it sooner since I only have an insurance loaner

Congrats on your order. It will not be long for you at this point and being in Tampa will help with delivery time.
The LCI is really great with numerous upgrades best of which is the S68 TTV8 and its mild hybrid assist.
My M60i has a refined feel with more power than my previous M50i which was great but this one is better.
Hope you get it delivered soon and enjoy!

Thanks Cobramite. Good to hear that and I'm looking forward to it. I am curious about the new 48V mild hybrid assist and sprint mode. I can't imagine it being even more refined than my M50i so that's going to be amazing.

I'm beginning to think the tracker isn't working for my car. It hasn't budged in almost a month and other people received their wk 45 builds. However, I was finally able to add the VIN to myBMW app and it shows my car with "Delivery Underway" next to the picture. Never seen that before. Anyone know what that means? Is it actually enroute?

People have had mixed results with the app, I always recommend to not use that for tracking. Like I said before, you need to check your production date as to when you will see movement. There are still a few days left in the week.

If you are having trouble using the "F12" process then you can post or PM me your VIN and I will get you the data.

Thanks Turtle Boy, I've been checking a few times a day. No change in production date, still 11/10... Never saw the tracker do this before. I think it'll probably happen all at once.

Then you will see movement either later tonight or tomorrow morning. The way the tracker works for the Spartanburg production is that the body and paint steps are rarely shown and it goes into the Assembly Line status the night before or day of assembly.

Dealer called yesterday morning to say my car is finished and just waiting to get on the truck to Florida. We can pick it up on Saturday! Yay! The tracker wasn't accurate this time for this car. (For our other 3 BMWs it worked as it should) I'm glad they at least have some way of tracking it.

Congrats. That was a fairly quick process as your earlier post indicates a 10/15 order date. Pics when you get it. Also, your post about FL insurance rates is confirmed by many friends who live in FL including my sister who lives in Sarasota. Homeowners insurance too. Here in SC we pay $1 k per 6 months for my M60i and about half that for my wife’s 2014 A5 cabriolet which has only 27,500 miles after 9 1/2 years. Been with State Farm since my first car in 1966. Couple of of expensive windshield claims and that’s about it.

Unlike your M50i, the M60i runs at 75% of power capacity for the first 300 miles. After that it's all out thrills.

Just picked it up yesterday. I'm loving it so far. My husband made sure they put a bow on it for me after I showed him [akunamitat]'s pic (contact:843491)

It feels and drives (and sounds) like a completely different car than my beast M50i (my neighbors will be glad this one is quieter on a cold start) My M50i had the air suspension, which I loved, but I do like how this one rides and handles too.

While driving home, I noticed that it didn't have the air suspension switch because I was sure I optioned it; I was kind of upset. I rechecked all my options and it wasn't listed so I felt bad it was overlooked somehow. However, I just checked the configurator today and found that if you add the Adaptive M Suspension Pro it deletes the 2-axle air suspension. So that's what happened and I feel better it wasn't anyone's screw up. I'll get used to not being able to lower or raise it.

I tried out the Driving Assistance Pro while on a quiet part of the highway and it worked great, including the turn signal to activate a lane change.

I need to tweak the equalizer a little. I like all the new ambient colors too. I don't like that I can't disable the annoying auto stop/start. The genius set my Individual Sport to mimic the Comfort setting but it still turns off. Maybe they will enable that in a OTA software if enough people complain, or someone can code it for me. Mercedes still has the option to disable it. (If I wanted an electric car I'll buy a Tesla)

My iPhone 15 Pro Max only got warm on the wireless charger and not hot on the 50 minute drive home from the dealer. (I have an Otterbox MagSafe case on it) We'll see what it does on a longer trip.

This morning when I got in the car my profile was messed up. Has my profile info, email, and pic but it changed to my husband's first name, not mine. I'm the primary driver, I'm listed first on the title and the dealer documents. It was correct when I left the dealer yesterday so something happened overnight. The same thing happened when we bought my husband's '21 M240i. My M50i had switched to his name too. I had a hard time getting BMW to fix it because the genius on the phone didn't believe the story. I'm hoping my dealer can fix it for me. I notified our SA and the genius we worked with.
