One of the things I miss about traveling early on in my career. I had a VP who could tell me all the hot spots to try anywhere I went.

I remember "Mother's in NO...that was my first "Po-Boy".

We used to be the same way here in upstate SC. It was the "Beacon".
They even had signs posted on the other side of the country.

They said something like "Beacon-----> 2,700 miles".

Once the original owner gave it up...it just wasn't the same.

Three months of being caged up in Chez Vreihen staring at a 15-year in the making spaghetti knot of power/data/AV cables finally made me break down and start cleaning up my only lifeline to civilization (and a pay check). I'm starting with a 1500 VA Eaton UPS, which arrived today:

I also picked up four Z-Wave power strips that are switchable per-outlet and include per-outlet power measurements, and a dozen one-foot short extension cords to fan out the wall-wart transformers next to each power strip. Hopefully, this will be my weekend project.....

I looked at those too! Let me know what you think of them. I'm on my 3rd pair. Have yet to wear a pair out or have any issues whatsoever.

Will do, I'll put them to the test. Interested how they'll hold up. Walk on a lot of metal chips haha

Cool

Time to reinforce the golf shirt collection's white polos... Picked up a basic white one, and one with a graphic from J. Lindeberg. I like their "TX Jersey" fabric, plus they have a slimmer-than-usual fit I prefer. While i was shopping I fixed my need to own a blue cap with a slick Mizuno Golf cap and grabbed a G/FORE T-shirt.

Waited over 2 months for the specific Powerblock dumbbells I wanted to become available. Finally scored the expandable Pro version today after missing the first opportunity last week.

Bought the Pings right before the pandemic hit. Was sneaking over to Ohio to get rounds in before PA opened. First set of irons in 30 years (loved my old Pings)

Lack of hitting fairways been getting to me, so I fixed that today.

From what I understand, with the cost of the driver, I'm able to place the ball dead center fairway now anywhere around the 100 yard marker. Just show my driver and everyone understands. Never had such privileges...

Wow. 100 yard marker? Even on 440 yard holes? I'm in. Off to buy one NOW.

Congratulations.
Callaway does seem to have a winner with their Maverick drivers this year.

I keep a pair of compact binoculars in my glovebox at all times. You'd be surprised how often you'll use them when they're at the ready.

I usually hate driving my car with boots as I feel my year M3 has a lot of feel with the clutch pedal. With that said these new boots are light and comfortable as hell. Appreciate the recommendation Now_Rudi !
