Yes, I know. Normally we make our reservations in this period. But I haven't done it now. Don't know if we can go COVID wise and if I don't have the car it's also not possible.

Ours arrived to the dealer in Germany on Thursday, with a chassis number /VIN number assigned on February 29th.

Unfortunately, we cannot obtain license plates to take delivery due to COVID-19 closures.

I was tracking a few cars we had built and they would go to port back to transport for about a week then be at port again.... so we asked the dealer. The cars stop off at a port in New Orleans from Spartanburg for a few days then head to Oxnard. Each one did the exact same thing port, (2-3 days from leaving Spartanburg) then transit, then port (Oxnard) there for a day then dealer for us in SoCal. Unless your dealership is closed then it's still sitting at the port. We built two cars with two different dealerships, the one closer to us was suppose to get it First but it's still sitting at port in Oxnard today. I picked up from the other dealer last weekend.

In my contract with bmw Belgium it said that if the delay is unreasonably long the order can be cancelled. And this looks like unreasonably long. If production didn't start yet I don't see the problem for the dealer. Lots of others would like a earlier production date (after all this finishes)

On the other hand it is a great car so I wouldn't cancel the order. And if you order another PHEV the wait will start all over again.

For the moment there are no reasonable alternatives with same tax friendly wltp CO2 either. Cayenne and XC 90 RR sport are all to high. GLE is a 4 cylinder diesel.

This is where my head is at too. I need to get out of the M4 as we have just got a second dog. I went through all the options and after narrowing down to RRS or X5 M50i the BMW won by some distance.

Cars still in port in the states so lord knows when it will arrive. I’ve then got some custom paint being done at the dealership so even more wait when it does arrive as can’t see the body shop being open.

Hi, I succeeded to track my X6 on a ship, it is arriving at Bremerhaven on Apr 16th.

Can you ask your dealer to send you a screenshot from S-Gate Dealer portal, with your vehicles VIN entered and Distribution tab showed.

With the load no. and some other info on the page, I can track your car and tell you where it is.

Two pieces of info that you should get is:

Status / Date
165 / 27.03.2020. (this is for my car, 165 status code is "Transit from USA to Bremerhaven" and the date it got on the ship, with this we will find by ship schedules exactly which ship sailed from Charelston that day)

Load No
A004036-APOH43-...
(with this we can check the Bill of Laiden for the ship and check if your VIN is in the cargo list)

I've tried several times with my 7 last digits on the 2wglobal site... but "no record found" every time. It came out of production around the 10th of March... Sounds weird... I've asked more details to my dealer by email, but they are closed so not sure I'll get any ansdwer...

Check with your dealer if the production process is finished, you can only find the car on this site if it's booked for transport on one of the ships.

Only true if your car is shipped with Wallenius Wilhelmsen.

If it is shipped with another company, you will have no result on that search page.

Mine is shipped on 27.03. with K Line.

Now there you see that Distribution tab I talked about in my earlier post. Ask your dealer for a screenshot when on that tab.

I have a friend,his car arrived in EU same as mine around middle of march.
My car was delivered 20 days ago,but i bought car in Hungary.
Croatia dealer Tomic is worse dealer by far..cars are most expincive and my friend still did not recieved his X6..
So,if you guys from Croatia and BiH ordered car from Tomic,prepare for at least 30 days for delivery after car hit EU soil.

When I look for one digit less, 9c94998, I see this X5 is loaded on vessel on April 13th. Its production date (mdecoder) is 24.03.2020.

My X6 is produced 21.03.2020.

I found another X6 (VIN: 9C92069) loaded on a vessel on April 2nd. It was produced on March 20th.

There are X cars loaded on vessels that are produced 7-8 days after mine.

Where is my car?

Maybe it is on Florida Highway. The search page does not show results for this ship for some reason.

It departed Charleston,SC on May 27th (matches the status change to 165 on page dealer sent me a screenshot of).

This ship arrived at Bremerhaven on April 9th.

But since WW2 search page is not showing results for this ship, there is no way I can check if it was on it.

Atchoom, maybe it is the same for your car...
