I ordered a 120K car almost a year ago, still not produced and nobody can give information about production. I just want to know is it for this week, in 3 weeks, in 3 months, ...
That's disturbing and this is busy from before the COVID pandemie.

I agree with you wholeheartedly! Ive read on here that some people have gotten better luck with calling the BMW Genius line. I called them this morning and was told something totally different than my dealer told me. The guy was very nice and apologetic but had no idea or any new news at all. Oh well. He said call back next week for more info.

Dealer just called with an update, it changed status again this morning but W23 production and W30 delivery is retained, don't know if this is correct or not.

They will update me again next Wednesday

Scheduled for production I presume, last week the status just disappeared again and this morning it changed back with filled in information.
But I have no idea if this is correct or not, he was going to call me back next Wednesday to confirm.

We'll see if anything changes by then.

Last Friday they told me the status = 112 (Order scheduled for Production) but they wouldn't give me a production week.
I don't know how much time is between scheduled for production and start of production. Maybe the status has been 112 for two months by now?

Tomorrow I'm at the dealer I will ask for an update

I just called the automated Genius status number. Up until today the estimated completion date was 4/1. Now it says 5/22. I hope that is correct.

Seems like something moved in their system today. I will check with my dealer tomorrow. I hope he will say production week 22

mine stayed in 112 for about 5-6 weeks until it went to 105 because of the shutdown. Following the changes of others here which seems to look a bit promising, I'm starting to assume mine is not on the priority list :/

Was at the dealer today. They still haven't got official production weeks from BMW. So they won't tell me what is in the system at the moment because it can't be correct and BMW told dealers not to communicate them. But they expect them soon, around half of May.

I get updated next Wednesday so we will see, by then the schedule should be known for sure.
Strange that my dealer never mentioned anything about that communication and yours refuses to disclose what the system says.

Yes, I explicitly asked but they refused. They won't give customers possible wrong information. I can understand that. I wouldn't like it if they say week 22 and next week, sorry but it's week 52

I would think somewhere next week they have the correct planning.

I spoke to my dealership an hour ago; they’re open again but unable to take delivery of new cars until BMW UK advise on how they should handle handover.

Seems weird as US dealerships and some mainland European are open so must have guidelines from group?

My sales guy finally called me today and told me he's been going through hell because BMW cancelled a bunch of scheduled builds. He said the ones that didn't make the cut will have to be switched over to 2021 model later in the year. Not sure how much of that is true but thats what he said. Apparently my build is still on for June 24th build date but bmw genius told me its a June 1st build date.

Dealer says June 24th, Genius June 1st. There are as many production weeks as BMW dealers and Geniuses everyone is telling something else. And my dealer won't say anything, just wait on official confirmation from BMW There is no transparant communication.

But it seems logical that they are going to work FIFO because of the limited production capacity, that 's the only thing my dealer told me. So my July 2019 order can finally be produced and a March 2020 order will be a 2021 build from August on.

They are probably taking out the dealer cars that have not been sold and building the sold and paid for cars first, I hope.
