Just sent an email to my sales guy to inform again but he's not in today. If they dare to change it again I will cancel my order.

Factory went back to normal operations this week so production will pick up. They were operating with 1 of 3 shifts prior to this week.

Awosy went from production week 15 to week 38. That's totally unacceptable!

I will contact my dealer on Friday, I won't believe them until they say status is 155 production completed and I can decode the VIN online.

Normally production is completed this week but I will check with my dealer on Friday.
I received a VIN last week but it it still doesn't show up on VIN decoders.

Anyone knows when a new VIN is available online?

A year waiting time is just completely over the top!
yeah, it will be 1 year and about 2,5 months after order date if it goes like this
So you have the dubious honer of having the longest epic wait ever.

Good luck with the wait. It's worth it.

No other faster options anyway. Unless you find a used one? Even switching to other brands is not an option. Waiting times are long for PHEV and the 45e still is the only real good one.

I will not cancel, I have my current car which is worth nothing second hand so I'm not pressured to sell it or look into any other options.
It's frustrating to see people ordering 5 months after me and getting the car before me. No blame to them naturally, they are lucky, but it's just not very logical. I get no decent explanation why they have this big postponement. The only indication I get is my individual configuration. But as the car was going to production w15, I assume all the parts were ready, so why do they need to postpone so far? Even many here have individual configurations also and don't get postponed this far it seems.

Nothing to do but wait, and it helps a bit to see here that I'm not the only one in this tormenting wait :-)

Well you can find already good second hand 45e's with low mileage for a good price.

AutoScout24 shows 29 45e's so a lot of choice. However the price is almost the new minus the usual discount. So it would take a lot of negotiating to get it down to reasonable price

Not all BMW dealers.

I was looking at premium selection only, i would want 4 years factory warranty when buying something as complicated as a hybrid, cost could go up very rapid when something goes wrong.

They are offering a 120k car with 8000km's for 100k. That 120k gross without the usual 10% discount so in the end it is 7% off for 8000km (test car probably so not gently driven).
Not a deal I would take.

In comparison, my current 5 series was a premium selection with 8190km (German factory employee car), new price 74k and got it for 40k.

That is also how I bought my previous 5 series. Really good deals.

I selected the one I wanted in a list with the color, engine and options I wanted. 6 months old, less than 10.000 km and 25.000 euro under the new price. The dealer in Gent bought it for me in Germany and gave the guarantees. Had it two weeks later.

Thing is there are way more 5 series's than x5's to chose from.

You are correct I would only a 45e from a official dealer. If you don't get 4y you could also sign in for the maintenance program. It's quite expensive but then your also covered for all repairs for 4y. That's what I did with the 40e.

Do you have a maintenance program for your 45e? I asked my sales rep for it but he said there was nothing for the 45e (when I signed the order). I will ask him again when I take delivery eventually.
I would like the same thing as I have for my BMW motorcycle, 5 years warranty and no worries.

I saw the two cars.

The one in Antwerp has all the options I have but I have 20 inch wheels.

My new price without discount wasn't 120k more around 110k. I think the price they are showing is the one without discount for the different packages. So at the end it would only be a discount of a couple thousend compared to a new one. Not a good deal at all indeed. But otherwise great configuration.

Let's hope for you guys the wait will end and still changing.

I have a maintenance program included in the renting. And I signed in July 2019
My contract also has a "BMW accucertificaat". All battery costs are for BMW the first 100000km or 6 years

The maintenance I don't really care about, I don't do enough kilometers to gain something, I only like to have full warranty for 5 years.

I had the program for my 40e and 6gt. For both I paid more than the price of maintenance it covered.

I now do my renting with KBC and I also took maintaince / repair program for the renting time (4 years). It is at half the price that Bmw offers the same service. The renting it self is also a better deal.

Renting offered by BMW is usually not the best deal if you start comparing. They tend to have a large first and last payment which makes the monthly price go down a lot.

All BMW PHEV have the battery warranty mentioned by HeavyD. So that's covers separately. But if a laser light stops working you will be happy if it is somehow covered.

I took the maintance program for the 40e because it also covers all repairs (at least that's what the sales guy told me). So by having this you also have 5 years repair of everything that needs to be repaired. For maintance alone it is not a good deal. It cheaper just to pay the different services needed. Same reason you want to take it I think.

Definitely. I compared BMW’s offering with my bank (coincidentally also KBC) and given the same parameters (first downpayment, length, rest percentage), BMW would cost me 7-8k more (!) over the course of the renting period. So thanks but no thanks.
Granted I’m a new BMW customer but that’s a BIG difference.

Indeed same figures here. I pay less for the renting with repairs maintance and tires included than I would have paid with BMW.

My contract included that they take it back after 4 years for 30% but I can try to sell it myself. So if the market is bad for this kind of car I am not stuck with it. With the maintance en repair contract for 4 years I am also sure I won't have any surprises.

Others have higher rest values but won't take the car back so you have to buy it your self at that price and can sell it your self.

That's how it was explained to me too. And that's why I took it.

KBC offers the same service at half the price.

What monthly fee for maintenance and repair?

For my next car I will also ask my bank for a renting price.

I also have a residual value of 30% and I don't have to buy the car at the end.
