X5 M60i - Value Hold
I am strongly considering ordering a X5 M60i or a X7 depending on if I want the 3rd row or not.. but I was wondering which one holds their value better? Both will be around the same price that I have spec'ed out. Bowers and Wilkens sound system is very important to me, and the X5 M60i allows it to be added while the other X5 builds do not.
Thanks! |

Can you look up or ask for the residual value from your sales advisor?

If you are leasing, ask dealer for residuals. If you buying check the various car buying websites for an idea of 1/2/3 year depreciation. Also, you may get more responses by posting in the X5 or X7 forum.

Between the X5 and X7, you need to first decide how much passenger space you need. An X5 fits a family of 4 extremely comfortably. 5 will fit but if you have 3 kids in the back they might complain. If you occasionally need seating for 6-7 passengers you might as well bite the bullet and get the X7 now so you don't have to upgrade (ask me how I know ). Price wise a new bare bone X5 M60i with only Exec Pkg and BW is $95K. A bare bone X7 M60i with BW is $112K. You can get an X7 40i with BW for $87K but performance wise it's not on par with the M60i if you're a performance enthusiast. |
