I understand that, as BMWFS is non-competitive and is directing re-financing to other banks/credit unions. The incentive for BMWFS is for the lease to be returned to a BMW Center so the dealership can take a second bite of the apple with a used car resell. How many miles do you have?

BMWFS doesn't directly offer end of lease finance payoff. They will most likely direct you to a third party (Refijet) who handles all the financing paperwork, including DMV/Title paperwork for them.
The loan will still be with BMWFS.

also keep in mind that rates are higher for used cars and can vary pretty drastically month to month in the world we live in now.

I went with BOA and the process was a breeze. Got approval online after a few minutes and it all came down to if i wanted to go forward or not. There is no need to go through the dealer because its just another opportunity for them to make money off of you. You can obtain whatever financing you want and as long as BMWFS gets paid they don't care.

I think that’s a great rate for a used car especially these days when MM accounts are paying 5.3%. That’s not much of a spread.
