0-60

I just noticed BMW USA website shows 3.7 now; I only recall them showing 3.8 or 3.9; BMW Canada shows 3.8.
I know personal owners report 3.5 and up. Why such inconsistency especially with the distribution websites ? What is the actual value ?

A guy recemtly posted Draggy results for his M60i and he got 3.5 seconds 0-60 with a lousy 5,500 DA(Colorado), no rollout, 3.37 with. This new S68 is the real deal.

Garage List
2021 Bmw X3MC  [0.00]
2021 X3MC  [0.00]
Waiting for Car and Driver to get their number.
BMW just shows higher numbers than others get.
0-60 is just 2 gears and torque. Which is the same as the Comp.
BMW says the M V8 engines are all the same. Transmissions and Differential same I think.
If so so that they tune the m60i different. Tune.
So to me 3.5 is in the realm of possible.
We have had ours just 2 weeks now and the only comparison is seat of the pants with our X3MC we traded. 125comes quick.
But the x3 was Red and had Cat back exhaust and it ran like a Scalded Ape and because of it size every hotti car real or not wanted to run.
And hard riding. Busy car. Tough on longer trips.
I figured if I kept it I was going to jail
Really need a car to act my age

When comparing with C&D, R&T, numbers remember that they use the now standard 1 ft roll out so compare that with the 3.37 seconds the guy in CO got with a Dragy @ 5500 DA.

Here is my 2024 x5 M.

I don’t know which way you are comparing, but if it’s the 1 foot roll out (USA way), then my time is 3.46 seconds. It’s fast.

Btw, this was with 3 passengers. So, I can probably shave .15 seconds off it.

^^^^3 passengers loaded into the vehicle is going to really hurt your 0-60. I'm thinkin 2 tenths. Mid 3s is really fast for an SUV that is approaching 3 tons.

The 0-60 times are much closer amoung the X5M comp and X5 M60i than what BMW has officially published.

The Global metric is 0-100 (KMH). Thats 62.14 MPH.
That extra 2.14 MPH over 60 MPH makes all the difference.
The real 0-100 (kmh) time is above 4 seconds! This is not a sub 4 second car, nor fair to say so by quoting MPH in order to arrive at a sub 4 sec figure.

I had a few family members that did not believe that it would squeal/spin all 4 tires.

This may come as a surprise to you sir but the entire world does not use the metric system.
0-60 in the US is 60 MPH not KPH. No reason for you to editorialize on that fact as you are not going to change it.

Even 0-100kph in the X5MC is easily sub 4 seconds. If not, there is a problem with the vehicle. 0-60mph is 3.4-3.5 seconds.

Read his other posts. I feel bad for the guy. Sounds miserable and angry.
