I wish someone posts pics with spacers without their air suspension slammed. I am not sure how 12/15 or 15/20 looks at normal height. Not everyone has AS, I fear the “skateboard” look.

9 pages, and there's been no discussion about what to torque the extended lugs to with spacers... is it the same 103 ft-lbs?

Factory is 103ft-lbs, I normally put 105ft-lbs.
With conventional designed wheel spacer (non adapter style), I do 110ft-lbs.

I'll put that info on first post. So others can easily find it.

Will H&R 11mm spacer fit on the fronts? Are they hubcentric? I prefer a 11/12 set up

hi. my first time looking at spacers. at what point do they have a negative effect on suspension components, ie bearings and such? when wanting to bring out the wheels, should i first look at wheels with lower offset numbers over spacers or the other way around?

I have Rohana 20x9 ET27 wheels both front and rear and looking to bring them out more. a photo link back in March 2020 showed 20" 741M rims but those front wheels have ET35 while the rears have ET40, and the owner used a 18/25mm setup. what would you recommend with my square 20x9 setup given the offset is different from that reference photo? i have a '21 45e M Sport w/air suspension.

thanks!

Running wheel spacer is the same as using aftermarket wheels with aggressive offset.
If bearing on this car can't accommodate wheel spacer, then BMW shouldn't even put them in the SUV where it weight a lot to begin with.

For your 20x9 +27, I would do 11mm front and 22.5mm rear for aggressive setup and will look better if you are lowered.

hmmm a tad too aggressive for me...
with my Rohana 20x9 +27, the fronts ended up 10mm further out than OEM 21" 741M, and i'm ok with that. i think adding 2-5mm more would be splitting hairs.
the rears ended up 4mm further IN compared to OEM, so i definitely want to push those out. i'm looking between 15-18mm. do u offer those?

here's where i'm lacking in knowledge: will i need new wheel studs or anything else extra to ensure proper/safe boltage? please send PM with pricing/info so i can proceed with purchase. thanks for your help!

Best way is to do the physical measurement.
So much a number can do since that is just based on the wheels itself.
Tire design and shape will come to a factor.

Longer lug bolts is always required.

So, go ahead to the measurement and let me know what are the sizes that you need and I'll give you a quote.

Just want to say did the 12/15 and they are perfect. Should have come from factory with this stance. Easy install too. 15/20 might be nice too and wouldn't be overboard. I'm happy. Thx RG.

As promised. I spent time today to test wheel spacers on G05 X5.

Here what I gathered today.

Conservative setup: 12mm front and 15mm rear
Aggressive setup: 15mm front and 20mm rear

So, here is the picture from front and rear for comparison.
More pictures you can find on the build thread that I will compile soon.

Feel free to ask any question or PM me for quotes.

Wheel Torque information:
- Factory recommendation 103ft-lbs, I normally put 105ft-lbs.
- Conventional wheel spacer (non wheel adapter design), I normally put 110ft-lbs.

12mm / 15mm setup

^ I second this. I don't have Air Suspension, but ideally I want an aggressive stance (15/20). Not planning on lowering in the future though, so may have to play it safe with 12/15.

I found this thread showing the 15/20 set up before and after lowering with Eibach Springs. Found it really helpful considering I don't have air suspension. Love the look of the final product, so will probably wait til I'm ready to throw the springs on and go with the 15/20.
