Is it just me or those wankers just released a new software for our cars which permanently disables our remote start feature that we paid money for? 🤔

You might need to go back in an re-enable it on the car...

for whatever reason, every time there's an update, you need to go back through your idrive settings and make sure it is what you want. random options get reset to default. that has now happened to me twice, and both times, the remote engine start was reset to off.

The release notes, which most people don't seem to read along with the user manual, tell you that some of the things are reset to factory default, and you may need to change them. If you have the app, it stores the last release notes, so it's easy to read them later if you missed them during the update.
