Bluetooth issues
Has anyone seen the following issues when using their bluetooth? I have a Razr V3 upgraded with the latest firmware and saw these issues on both the old and the new firmware for my phone.
1. Car's Bluetooth connection shows call in session but phone indicates call failed. Only way to reset this is either disable bluetooth on your phone (causing the car to disconnect) or making a call and hanging up normally 2. Car's Bluetooth connection to phone seperates/disconnects when you don't answer an incoming call while on a call already. You have to go to your phone and disable the bluetooth and reconnect it to turn it back on. When using a bluetooth headset I only get a beep on the headset, but it never disconnects like the car does. 3. When using voice activated dialling with the bluetooth, the car momentarily (sometimes) unmutes the stereo after saying "yes" to dialing a particular person, but before making the call. I suspect these are all bugs in the car's bluetooth software, but was curious if other people are seeing the same problem with their phones. BTW, I also had issues 1 & 3 with my Motorola V551. Never noticed issue 2. |

Just got my car back from the dealer in attempt to getting this fixed. Evidently BMW knows about the issues, but doesn't have a fix yet. Stay tuned and I'll let you know when I see a fix.

Guys, I've got a RAZR and I'm experiencing issue #1 as well as something else.
Occassionally I have to drive to one of my work's other locations for the day. It's about 1.5 hours each way. I've noticed that after being in the car for a total of 3 hours, the battery is really low. To the point where the phone is warning me about t a low battery. So, here are my questions: 1) Has anyone else experienced this? 2) How do I get the latest firmware installed on my phone? My SW/Felx versions are: R374_g_0E.40.57R Flex: GSMv3xxVIN01NA04E |

Upgrading your phones S/W flex can be done easily if you can get the SW. Go to http://www.motomodders.net/ to learn how. Then your only trick is getting the SW to do it.
Note: if you do this wrong you could be buying a new razr out of pocket. So make sure you follow the directions and understand the risk. |

My recommendation is to just get a car charger. New battery might help for a couple of months, but the car charger will keep your phone going. |

I called Cingular the other day and they suggested I take the phone to a Cingular store to have the firmware upgraded. I'll try that today... |

06graphite,
I would suggest going after the upgrade too. the SW rev you have is quite old. Plus there are some new features enabled with the later revs for your phone. |

I have a Blackberry 7290. When first starting out the day, the phone pairs to my 2006 325i. When I shut the car off, and then turn it on again, the 2 don't pair up. If I wait several hours and try, it will pair. I had the same problem with an HP IPAQ 6315. I had my software updated mid September. Any ideas? I can't understand why it works when the car is 'cold' but won't pair repeatedly.
