Dravit Grey

Looks like a new color is now available for the M50i. Dravit Grey Metallic is now listed as a Priority 1 paint. I have not seen an updated order guide in a few months but maybe with a little luck there are some other new options/features that will be available soon

I can shed some light on this. I just ordered a G11 7 Series in Dravit Grey last week which should be with me next week . At first, I wasn't sure about the colour and assumed it would be essentially just a grey.

However, in real life it's a fantastic colour. In overcast light it almost looks like Audi's solid Nardo Grey, but in direct light there is a beautiful amber effect. I was comparing this colour to Tanzanite Blue and I would say that this is a much nicer and more unique colour. I've added an Imgur album below:

Thanks for posting those pics. I like it, now to get the wife to buy into it.

I ordered my G05 45e in Dravit Grey 2 weeks ago :-).

I took Dravit grey because it's a dynamic color...

Wanted to order a brown interior, but after seeying quite a few interiors of G05's standing a the dealer, I went for black, with the M-seats as the eye-catchers

And best thing... delivery in March 2021 (the dealer got me a production number to have earlier delivery )

Looks stunning 😍 - 😉
Nearly same setup for me but still on Artic grey with comfort seats. (ordered last year) I tested sport seats and though they look great, they are less comfortable on long trips.

I sat in them and they felt really comfortable to me, but of course I didn't do any long trips. I sat 5 minutes in the comfort seats and 5 minutes in the M-seats and was sold for the M-seats...
I think it gives the car an extra dimension when you open the doors...

Anyhow, since I don't have to do many long trips, I guess that'll be ok

Looking forward to the car as I'm driving a 9-year old 525d and although it's a fantastic car still, I can imagine it cannot be compared to the new one

Artic Grey was my next choice, but since this Dravit grey has so many different looks to it, I had to go for that one (and too many Artic grey ones already driving around today)

It’s an awesome colour and I’d have had over my AG had it been available when I ordered.

I am pleasantly surprised by it. In brochures the colour swatch looked more like a bronze colour and I wasn't really a fan. It's hard to show how unique this colour is in real life. So if anyone is thinking of pulling the trigger on it then I would recommend you do.

Gorgeous. Wish this was an option for me. Europe seems to have much better option availability than the US. I don't understand why they would restrict some markets vs others. I take really long trips frequently so I'd have gotten the comfort seats even tho the M ones are gorgeous, but I would have liked the M seat belts (the one with the tri-color strip down the side).

Always puzzles me why some colors are thousands of dollars more than standard ones and they really don't appear any different.
Seems like all brands now pick a few colors, declare them upgrades and charge heavily.
Porsche bends you over to the tune of $3,500 for their "Miami Blue" which doesn't even have a metallic or similar content.

Well, I would say this colour is honestly worth the premium. However, on the 7 it's a no-cost option unlike the X5 which makes more sense since there's generally more standard options - although Tanzanite Blue is almost £995 still.

In other markets, this colour is technically an Individual option too i.e. US G05.

Yeah it’s a brilliant colour and what I like about it is it’s stand out without being lairy. Perfect for the M50i.

Aren't the European X5s also built in South Carolina and exported? It's so weird to me that many of these options aren't available on the US spec ones despite being built in the same factory in the US.

Other than the painting process I'm not sure why either (I somehow got the idea Priority 1 involves some hand-done process). Arctic Grey being a case in point, having once been Priority 1 I believe, now standard.

Might not be to everyone’s tastes but it’s most definitely dynamic and relatively neutral. The colour difference in certain lighting is quite impressive.

Colors and tastes ... no good or bad answers, only personal opinions. Some like something that stands out others (like me) prefer something that blends in. I am happy with AG and doesn't mean someone else can like another color. Good that we don't all have the same tastes.

If you like it, go for it. For special colors probably opinions are more extreme than for white, black or grey.

It seems to be darker then Audi’s Nardo and Quantum Gray.

Yeah, the *computer* rendering above doesn't look like the color does in person. And it's not like the Audi gray pictured above. It's a very interesting color in person, it has the appearance of a non-metallic medium to dark gray but in sunlight it has a prevalent gold metallic flake.

Colours are totally subjective as others have said, and yes I've seen the pics posted here - its just my opinion - I'm allowed to have one.

To me looks like it has a green hue to it, definitely a colour I would need
to see in person, but based on the pics here I wouldn't go for it.
