M-mode dash with M button
I'm wondering if I'm missing something somehow. I'd love to have my M2 button not only configure chassis, shift etc - but toggle the dash into "M-mode".
Is there a way to do that? Or is the only option the impossible-to-find button in the center console?.... |

Agree. This makes no sense. In my x6m my m button would also change the HUD. In my new x5mc, the silly button on center console only changes display. What a weird process.

I was trying to get this changed the other day through coding but I didn't find the value to ''remember last setting''.
If someone knows where to look/change that... that would be appreciated. I have an X6M and the display of both the HUD and Instrument Cluster are much nicer with the M mode on. |

Has anyone figured this out with coding? Hate that I have to press the m mode button

Curious on this thread - I'm playing around and wondering the same thing - M1/M2 seen to set everything but the instrument cluster / HUD (i think). M Mode switch to Sport triggers the rest?

So far, I've noticed this is how it works. The M1/2 buttons control all the settings (engine, trans, chassis, etc.) whereas the M-Mode transfers from road, to sport, to track and relative safety systems (they seem to be independent). E.G., Sport mode can still have settings in comfort. My understanding is Sport (from M- Mode) toggles the cluster and disables certain driver control settings settings.
From the manual: SPORT The Intelligent Safety systems are switched on according to the individual settings. The following systems are deactivated: ▷ HDC Hill Descent Control. ▷ Speed Limiter. ▷ Cruise control. ▷ Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go func‐ tion ACC. ▷ Speed Limit Assist. ▷ Steering and traffic jam assistant. ▷ Traffic Jam Assist. ▷ Lane change assistant.

Can't be done. They are in different coding modules and cannot be linked.

This is also one of my gripes. I feel you should be able to configure the dash to be able to view "m mode" all the time independent of the rest of the m mode settings.
