I always wanted to have possibility like in M5 to have complete 100% RWD but as you know BMW offers in SUV only 4WD and 4WD Sport.

While in reality X5M and BMW M5 are almost same platform so I managed to find out a guy who makes possibility of having 2WD drive as M5 switchable in iDrive ( with DSC off - there is no DSC in 2WD mode so it can be risky in certain conditions but sometimes I like driving only rwd or lets say in winter to do drifting etc )

Its just some kind of coding - no need for ecu flash or anything like that and its done over OBD.

I don't know if this has been shared in topics here so I just wanted to share my experience.
