Yes, I can change that and so could anyone as is it in Launcher-mapped ECU. The other ECU's/CAFD may cause issue for some.
I just realized that I'm not seeing all the ECU's, I think the car needs to be actually turned on to read all of them? Can you still point me to the ECU where these values are located.

My X5 has 5AP, which is antiglare decoded. Are you seeing 5AP?
Can you change LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_Y and C_AFS_ENA?

can you see if 'Active Road Preview' is an option in the safety systems or handling/body ECU. The X7 has this with the DHP so I figured since all hardware is the same it might work on the X5

Do you have the untrimmed files? I didn't think they were available yet? Or am I am looking in the wrong spot?

I'm using e-sys 3.27.1 and Launcher 2.80
It requires Launcher Pro or E-sysX.

Premium is Trimmed for G-series.

I'm not sure what ECU it's under bur I had the same wrong.

it's called: 2VS Active Comfort Drive with Road Preview and has been an option featured on 7 Series since at least 2016. I'll try and see if I can find what ECU the feature resides under

Thanks, I was starting to think that was the problem. E-sysx isn't cheap and waiting for TM might be a while from what I have heard

Question: are all the cafd's available and all untrimmed through whatever u are using, one of the 2 options?

Been waiting on TM for 8 weeks, giving up and going to get esysx it’s a bit more money but way less primadonna.

Does it have access to all of the ECUs?

No, the latest launcher pro can see some ECU's. Take a look at the spreadsheet under G05, the ones with * are not readable: https://cartechnology.co.uk/attachment.php?aid=78110

Shout out to Almaretto for posting this on another forum

Getting the latest launcher pro seems next to impossible with no communication from TM so I guess to try this out, gotta spend 100EUR for esysx, which I assume would see the same. I just can't justify spending that much right now to try it out. I may just wait it out..haven't decided yet what to do.

I'll gladly buy whatever program or donate to help support development. Laser lights are worth the expense

Thanks for the offer and I will take it into consideration.
I've reached out to the EsysX developers to confirm if the application can access ECU's, similar to Launcher Pro. I'll keep you posted.

Almaretto's solution is for VLD (including cornering lights) and not GFHB, which is anti-dazzle. Perhaps the solution to enable GFHB is similar to the other G series but maybe not. On other vehicles, the lighting ECU's needed to be modified as well to make it function correctly and these FLM ECU's are not readable. So the focus for now should be to get VLD and cornering lights enabled, for which we have been provided a solution for above.

And even if this worked and some of you folks of donated, I don't think I would be able to code your vehicles as I believe the esysx license is for a single PC and if remote coding is possible, I have no clue how. I wouldn't want to waste your donations...I'm just an amateur coder that's still learning...Almaretto's the expert.

I think he has access to those ECUs but the coding is different than before. Again I don't want to speak on his behalf but send him a DM because I'm not sure if I can post what he told me.

I have not had a chance to do analysis to figure out what that changes or test. So, at this point, I cannot give definitive answer.

I have question about the coding, does it survive updates or do you need to make the changes again after each time you update iDrive?

It depends if the software update touches the ECU you have coded. If it does, you need to recode. There are so many ECUs...

There's newer versions of E-SYS and Launcher Pro running. You may want to purchase those.

You'd have to create a VM to code others cars with teamviewer.
